Do it like 2x a year, if that.
I've never really noticed an effect on me, so I usually just stick to drinking instead.

A buddy of mine from grade school decided to come back to Calgary for University after living in California for a couple years. During his time in Cali he was a pretty casual weed user, but as soon as he came here he realized our stuff was a lot more potent and started using a lot more consistantly.
6 months later he is on a plane back to California and preparing to enroll in rehab because he has dropped out of school. His casual use stemmed to a pretty heavy reliance to the point where he would use 3-4 times a day and just lie around his apartment instead of attending class.
Personally? Never used/tried it. Hate the smell. Been around it enough and seen enough people on it to confirm that I never want to use the stuff.

I'm a user amd have been for 10 years or so. I am tiring of it but I need that final something to finally kick it..... maybe when a baby arrives. I find there are ALOT of misconceptions about weed and people that smoke it, perpetuated mainly by those who have never smoked it or smoked it once or twice 25 years ago and feel qualified to speak on the subject.
Myself, I'm married, own a car, a house and my own business. I know a handful of other "stoners" that are in great situations just like me, despite the weed.
I know people who are alcoholics and they are far, far worse of than your average "stoner". Overall, in my experience, alcohol is far worse than weed. Not even comparable almost. I'd say weed is probably less harmful than cigarettes too. It's a shame that it's outlawed and not regulated like tobacco and alcohol.

Its the age old argument.
Booze is worse than weed.
Weed is worse than booze.
I say who cares as long as its not powder or pills.

Celebrated Square Root Day

What the hell's going on this week? I do a line of coke for the first time (won't be doing that again), and two days later a thread pops up asking if people have tried blow, then yesterday I buy an 8th of weed (the first weed I've smoked in two years), and bam, here's a thread asking about weed.
I guess tomorrow there will be a thread titled "okay, be honest, who's ever killed a hobo?'...

I think I'll start a thread on "most painful injuries you've ever suffered" then.

It's not something you sell all your possesions for, or not pay your rent.. In that sense it's harmless, but it does make you stupid over time.
I've done it a long time ago, but wouldn't bother with it anymore.

Yeah, I really shouldn't have bothered with it again either. I wanted something to help me be a little more creative at our band's jams, however weed probably isn't the best way to go about that, now that I'm in my 20's. Anyone want to buy an 8th of weed for cheap?

Best to not traffic narcotics on a public internet forum.
PS. Are you a cop?

my friends back in ontario are huge potheads and seem to be able to function after smoking. I always wanted to smoke it and do absolutely NOTHING.
If I have nothing planned for the day I'll smoke it, but any activity that requires thinking and I'm toast.

One time I smoked a joint and then I got so high I that had no idea what I was doing and conveniently there was a shotgun nearby so I put the barrell in my mouth and pulled the trigger.

Let me ask some of you guys this: should people be allowed to smoke weed and then drive? I hate the stuff, primarily because of the people I work with who use it while working. I've never personally smoked it in my life, just never saw the need. The people I hung out with in school weren't users either, so I think that is why I never did either.

I tried it a few times, pretty much every time I was already blotto on booze, so I didn't really feel anything.
I know from watching my former roommate smoke it on the regular, that it turned him from one of my favorite people to someone I could hardly talk to. That was kind of the last straw for me. Now, since I'm in the public safety arena, and can get randomly tested I stay away from it.

No, absolutely not. It's not as bad as driving under the influence of alcohol, but it's still an impairment. Same goes for cell phones, but I'd say driving on pot is a bit more dangerous than driving while talking on a cell ... not a lot though. The one thing about impaired pot drivers is that they probably think they're going 120 km/hour, but in reality they're only going about 30 km/hour, so the severity of impact isn't as great.
