First, crazy guy with knife gets taken out by police cruiser, then crazy guy throws his daughter off of overpass then swan dives himself, now this crazy bas**rd lights himself on fire down near the legislature! What the h-e-double-hockey-sticks is going on?

It must be something in the water, the people are getting uglier too.

wow a picture says a thousand words.
But for sure all these crazy events should be blamed on Strachan articles. He is pure EVIL.
I hope he gets fired soon.

I finally saw the video of that, and considering our heightened emotions surrounding the RCMP right now, I was really struck by the actions of the cops in this incident.

The first thing I thought of when watching the video of this guy trying to jump the barriers in his rented van was the Oklahoma City bombing. The officers involved in this incident had no idea what was in that van, and no doubt were thinking the same thing as I did. Yet they still put themselves in harms way to stop this guy.

There could very easily have ended up being another large group of cops killed if that guy did have a bomb, and chose to set it off when he got blocked in, yet those officers stopped him at risk of their lives.

I know a lot of people hate cops, but when you look at incidents like this, and what could have happened, I just can't figure out why.
