Around 40% is what I heard.
Is the mentality of a sure PC win keeping people at home?

Then people will have no right to complain tommorow morning when they read the paper, having spent all their time and energy bitching about changing, and then not actually doing anything about it.
Like voting.

Fearmongering. Oil is over $100/ barrel. No one is losing jobs in Alberta.

"Liberal" is a dirty word in Alberta. The Provincial Liberals are being blamed for perceived past crimes of the Federal Liberal party.
|
By rebrand, you mean rename themselves. Move their policies right of center.
They should follow the script of the movie Distinguished Gentleman and rename themselves the Regressive Conservatives and run on voter stupidly, name recognition and lack of attention to detail.
Man - "Hey who do we vote for"
Wife - "The Conservatives"
Man - "Check, lets go for a beer"

Did you go to each house and ask if the people living there were mormons....? I mean, how else would come up with such a 'crazy' theory?

You completely missed my point. Look at the exit poll numbers - evangelical Christians are one voting block that get out and vote, and they vote overwhelmingly conservative. The majority of people who voted in that riding ARE Mormons.

Johnny, I can confirm without a shred of doubt that you have no idea what you are talking about here. First of all there is a massive range in the cost of bringing oil to market. But I can tell you that the marginal barrel is much higher than 20 bucks. And BTW you are quoting WTI. The majority of growth and growing percentage of crude is heavy sour, which is discounted to WTI.
Regardless, I'm not sure what the cost of bring oil to market has to do with funding education. Corporations take oil to market, not governments.
I wasn't aware that there was spare capacity at post secondary institutions that could fill themselves up if they could just lower their tuition costs.

IIRC, Alberta isn't getting $100/barrel.
We have a different kind of oil.
...or something.
Can't remember.

You've also just described the Oilers front office

Huh?
Are you saying everyone who voted conservative in Lethbridge is an evangelical Christian?
Seriously....go read a book or something. 54% of the people who voted today voted conservative. And they all sure as hell aren't Mormons.

Sweet crude oil is what we produce, and it sells for much more than $100 a barrel.

That is "such a difference"?
