 Need to catch up with:
 Banffgirl 3
 Chid

Equipment: I have a pile of warm up balls. I will bring two bats out for anyone to use, 4 if my offer to team central is refused or not required. We do not need bases. New game balls and scoresheets included with fees.

Jerseys: NW Calgary Law has generously offered to pick up $500 of the tab for jerseys. This will cover nearly all the cost for the 50/50 cotton poly, 3 button short sleeve, red, baseball shirt with logo on the front and 10" numbers on the back. We can get 30 jerseys, 15 for each team for no, or low cost (like $5); but without names on the back. To put names on the back costs $15 per jersey. So if we want to go all the way, then everyone may need to pay $15-20.

Ballcaps: troutman has put forward some suggestions to get ball caps. He also suggested a 50 50 draw to pay for them. $10 gets you a ticket and a chance to win half the pot. Calgary Puck also has hats, and we could just please the powers that be, by purchasing those. Of course we need do neither, it is just a suggestion.

Roster: We are currently full for guys, but looking for 2 ladies. Perhaps we have the waitress from Pete's Peanuts Pub.

Sponsorship: troutman will be speaking with the owner of Pete's on Monday to see if we can get some financial aid in return for our excellent patronage.

Team Name: possibly Calgary Puckers, see the logo designed by troutman in the big thread (page 20 or so)

First League meeting is this coming week so will have more information after that. Can't remember anything else right now...you can thank the neverending beer compliments of trout for that.

 FireFly, you have the floor...

Rats, I knew there would be something...if people could fire off their prefered size of jersey to me, thanks. PM preferable so this thread stays legible!
 Thanks Aeneas.

			Hey everyone,
I won't be able to make it to the Sunday match but I think I can make it to the Central team's captain meeting on Monday night with Firefly. Hope you all have a good time while I am stuck working.

P.S. I might have recruited another player if we need another dude. I can probably get some ladies out when the time comes too...

			Central Team
We haven't even had our first meeting, which will be tomorrow... Please bear in mind that this was given to me to do on short notice and with little time.

The only person who has not responded is RicoFlame, and with the addition of fredr's friend, we now have another girl, bring us to 2/4. So it's definitely doable.

Cost: I'm not sure yet... The league is $800, and we have 10 right now so that's $80 each. If we decide to do the tourny in Lyalta, that's another $20/person. Plus there's the cost of bases, although Rhettzky has said he might be able to get some cheap or even free. I'll contact him shortly. We haven't met so the only money I have is mine... Though there should be a fair turnout for sno-pitch on Sunday and I'm sure we can come up with the deposit which is technically due on Monday. Looks like it will be $100/person or so, so that's what I'm asking for for now.

Most stuff will have to wait to be answered until after I've met or gotten in contact with everyone. I'm working on it.

Jerseys: I'm wondering if we shouldn't try to get a second sponsor for a second set of jerseys? Our team, when they meet, may want to name themselves something different than the South team. It might depend on the sponsor situation but we'll have to get back to you on that.

Hats: Can we get a group discount from CP?

Team Name: If we have the same jerseys, we have to have the same name, no? Do we want that or do we want to differentiate?

I've sent out the first team email already, if you didn't get it, you didn't give me your email! (Or you gave it too late.) I'll be sending out another shortly to update... probably tomorrow after sno-pitch.

Hey All, We had an excellent Sno pitch 2 day today. 7 attendees came out for some batting and fielding practice. No one would do sprints or laps!Played for 2 hours in the beautiful early spring weather. Thanks to those that came out, and bigger thanks to Rhettzky for bringing out all the beer! And esp mrs Rhettzky for going to get more!

When's the next Flames game at Pete's??

Yeah right. The sw people just thought they were cooler.
Had fun. I'm sore already. Tomorrow is going to hurt. It's not the same as Wii baseball. Pete's is way far away for me though, so I'm going to try and plan a central team meeting for some time soon... Keep you all posted.

Hey everyone,

I already talked to FireFly, but I think my school and work schedule is going to ease up a little bit, so I should be able to at least get out and meet you guys. I hope that we can meet at Pete's for the WAS PPV. Keep me posted- everyone needs to meet the elusive REDVAN and peer on my ball-playing and beer drinking abilities.

Are there going to be Canucks fans? I love to taunt Canucks fans. And 4x4...
Sounds like a good time, I'm sorry I wasnt able to make it, but its tax time so I get called into work fairly often.
I'll see if I can make the WAS PPV game.

For a guy that wears kneepads to work, you sure are creative with the excuses... "Tax time". |

Naw, lets be friends. We can beat up some Canucks fans together. If troutman is there, he'll be able to give the judge first hand evidence of how they started it.

We agree! Man, CP Slo-Pitch is going to be hysterical!
I only wish you could bank community service hours.

Yep, I'm going to have to figure out the calgary transit routes around here. I'm usually in no condition to drive after slo-pitch.

Is there a liquor store in that Tri-Glen plaza?

That was a good time yesturday. I'm sore as hell today though, awesome idea to get an early start because I was no where near in good enough shape to play a double header yesturday. I agree with whoever said that we should start getting together every sunday to get some warm up in before the start of the league.
