Default Can't print

This may be something that requires on-site troubleshooting by a tech guy, I dunno.

Suddenly, I can't print. I have several print jobs stuck in the queue right now. I haven't knowingly changed any printing preferences or made any changes. This started yesterday when I tried to print a large document with graphics. It didn't print (all of the data may be beyond the capacity of my printer's memory) so I deleted it from the print queue but now even Word docs won't print. I have rebooted.

My assistant is also connected to this printer (IBM Workcentre m20i) and she's able to print just fine.

Could trying a large print job have messed this up somehow? Any ideas?

Have you thought about contracting out for IT support? I just say this because I've noticed you have a lot of technical issues; and as they say time is money. There's many places that charge by the call as opposed to having somebody on staff full time.

I have turned the printer off and on, I've rebooted, I've plugged in my laptop in another office to check the wall connector and nothing. I wonder if my cord may be damaged somehow.

I recently lost my tech guy but he's moved away. He had an office with me gave tech support. I do intend to talk with a local tech person to arrange some tech support. Until I do that, I've found that I've had good advice here. It's a good idea and I will do that.

Is it a shared printer, it's not on a print server is it?
either way, stop and restart. the print spooler service, wherever it is connnected.
right click my computer-> manage-> services -> printer spooler
if that doens't work
Delete it from your pc and re add it.

Problem fixed. I just spent a few minutes on the phone with a tech guy at my head office. He goes on-line to control my computer and my assistant's. He got me going. I asked what he did. I don't really understand it but he said that my print jobs weren't going anywhere so were accumulating in the queue. Apparently, they weren't being sent to the server. Beyond that I have idea what he did, but it worked.

Thanks, guys.
