				 Shoot for a Million Winner!!!

Anyone see Darwin Head win the TSN Million dollar shootout last night during the Canucks Avs intermission?
Pretty impressive putting 15/20 pucks in from the far blueline in 24 seconds on ty ice after a NHL period.

Good story. A native guy from small town Canada practices every day on an outdoor rink and pulls it off. First thing he's going to do is pay off his mortgage and put money away for his kids. Sounds like a good guy and I hope everything works out well for him.

I agree with Vulcan's statement. A deserving winner and sounds like he has a sound plan for his winnings.

The best thing was the reaction of the TSN guys. Milbuiry on his feet, Bob Mckenzie with a huge grin and laughing. Funny stuff.

I shot for a car at a Wranglers game 2 weeks after getting my drivers licence. had to put it into a slot about 1.5 puck widths wide from the far blueline. didn't coming close, at least I hit the post though

 congrats to this guy!

I once missed shooting a football into the net from just behind the hash marks (toward the blueline) sadly I played goal so I use that as my excuse.

However in 2003 I did win a race around the rink at the NHL Prospects Game (mostly because the guy I was racing had an insurmountable lead and then slipped and fell)

I was picked randomly while walking down the concourse at GM Place to do that during intermission at a Canucks/Flames game a few years ago. I agreed to do it, but then as a joke, I openned my jacket to reveal my Flames jersey and asked the guy if it would be cool to wear it out on the ice when I shoot. Then they wouldn't let me do it. They said the Canucks would be upset... I guess I should have shut my mouth.

Ironically....that might qualify you to win a "Darwin" award.

I was happy to see this guy win the contest. He had a pretty good attitude about the whole experience. I wonder if he's any relation to Murray Head....yeah, didn't think so.

They wouldn't let me shoot. I told them that I would keep my jacket on so no one could see it, and the guy said no. He said that the Canucks organization would be really upset if they found out.

Man, that it BS!
I guess you really can't prove that you were selected or talked to, but man that in some way reeks of lawsuit! You should have had gotten something.
