I'm glad some of the more positive responses are coming out of the woodwork. This thread was getting a little demoralizing. Why does humanity have to be so stupid sometimes.

You should have said, "Yes you are right. I am better than you." and walked away.

Seriously, I had the similar situation but with a raging feminist. How dare I be considerate and hold the door for her!!!! Obviously I thought all women were too weak and feable to do things on their own. Fortunately for me, unlike you, she started her rant 10 paces from the door. She did a nice face plant on the door's glass when I let it close before she arrived.

I had one I was at the bank and there was a homeless man asking for food, he told me he hadn't eaten in days. I said I did not have any cash. So I stopped at the McDonalds and ordered him a Big Xtra meal with supersize fries and coke. When I gave it to him he wasn't thrilled.

Bum: "is there pork on this? I dont eat pork"

Me: "Nope"

Bum: "why did you put cheese on this for s sake"

Me: "sorry I didn't realize"

Bum: "BTW I dont drink pop you can just throw that in the trash"

"ok, have a good day"

he ignored me and kept on eating

This happened to a friend of mine one night many years ago...

Walking along 17th Ave SW near the old children's hospital, a woman comes running out of a house with a guy on her heels slapping and punching her. My friend comes to the aid of the woman, grabs the guy and pins him to the ground. Then the gal jumps on my friends back and starts punching him, screaming at him to leave her boyfriend alone. There's no figuring some people.

ok this isn't really a good deed but a funny story

I'm in Camrose, a small hole near Edmonton, visiting a friend. So I have a buddy out of town with me, and my buddy here in town who I work with. Were all getting super super hammered on small town booze priced to sell (like 2 bucks a drink). So needless to say, we're all quite hammered. Im standing in line and some guy sees me in my Flames gear and taps me on the shoulder
*FLAMES SUCK !*

now by the time this guy has come around, I've pretty much been a complete to any Oiler fan I see. For some reason tho, I decide to try and be nice to this guy, and I respond with "hey man we're all ALbertans, it's all good". To which I get
*NO MAN SERIOUSLY YOU AND CALGARY*

So I say "o man just off and the oilers". So he proceeds to punch me in the face. For this, *I* get kicked out of the bar, not him. Few minutes pass by, Im outside the bar, talking on my cellphone bitching about how full of this hick bar is, when the bouncers let him come out of the bar, and turn me around and cheapshot me while Im on the phone. Then he just walks right back into the bar in front of the bouncers.

So after some more yelling, profanity, etc, the cops come and we all just leave the area.

I found out the next week that he got killed on the highway the next day, on the same stretch of road his girlfriend died on just a year prior.

Ummm... Sadly I was informed this morning that the owners of Kayo received a phone call. Kayo had been hit by a car. At least there's closure and not wondering if he's still alive and lost.
I think I got seriously dissed at the end of that one.

Sorry to hear that. Our dog was hit by a car on November 26th. She made it with only a broken foot, but stories like this make us realize just how lucky we are to still have her with us.

Hey now, lets not get out of control here. A hole would be Wetaskawin. Or Hobbema.
