There are few things about the "time" that I noticed.
first, Jack says "is it true the Red Sox won the world series?". They didn't just randomly insert that in, my guess is those guys are from 2007/8, since the Sox just won the series again, the Pilot thinks he's talking about the 07 Sox, and Jack is talking about the 04 Sox.
Also, Science guy said "use the same trajectory" my guess is that if he left a different way, he might end up in a different time then when he came in.

Intriguing idea, but wouldn't that have made communication with the ship difficult?

I love how they just shot the rocket in the middle of a group of people, cartoon-style. It would have been hilarious if it had crashed into the helicopter - or decapitated someone, for that matter.

So, here's the question for you baseball fans. When did the Sox beat the Yankees to win? The pilot mentions "don't get me started, I'm a yankees fan" (or something like that.)

In 2004 they beat the Yankees in the ALCS, and they didn't meet the Yankees in the playoffs in 2007, the second year that they won. However, I'm pretty sure there is a lot of rivalry between the two teams and their fans, so saying that he's upset as a Yankees fan doesn't necessarily mean that the Red Sox knocked them out.

Not to mention that the Red Sox came back from a 3-0 deficit in the ALCS (semi-finals basically) to advance to the World Series, becoming the first team in MLB history to do so. It was incredible.
And yes, to say the Sox and Yanks have a rivalry is an understatement.

To be honest, I pretty much called it at the beginning of the episode, I guess I've trained myself to look for twists. Ever since Kate said "he'll be wondering where I am" in "Through the looking Glass" there have been rumblings that Kate was referring to her son, since then I'd figure they'd throw in a twist and have Aaron be her son.
I can't wait until the next episode.
Another thought, what if the guy in the coffin was Sayid?

I really thought that last week's episode (The Economist) really solidified the idea that it could be Ben in that coffin. That being said, with this being Lost, that pretty much disqualifies him from being in the coffin.
I must have missed something - because most of the episode titles make sense to me through the action of the episode - so I am confused as to why this one was called "Eggtown".
I wonder WHY Kate has Aaron, though. It certainly sets up a certain level of awkwardness should they all return to the island - is Claire dead at this time, then?
And why did Jack say 8 people survived the crash when only 6 were rescued and in fact I think the total number of survivors was 40-something ...?

It would appear that the Oceanic 6 are covering up the existence of their fellow survivors...not sure why.
By the way, what coffin are you referring to?

It looks like Ben is blackmailing Sayid to kill certain people on a list, and if he refuses, Ben will kill his friends.
Earlier Hugo was asked if "they" were still alive by that evil black guy.
I think that there are people from the flight that are still alive, and are somehow being held by Ben. Jack, Hugo, and Sayid are all agree that no one can know.
Who are the Oceanic 6?
So far: Jack, Kate Sayid, Hugo, Aaron?

It's debatable whether Aaron would count either.
We saw last week that there's something wonky about the flow of time on and off the island, so I think it'll turn out that a lot more time has passed in the world than passed on the island, and the assumption will be that Aaron was conceived on the island, which is why no one seems to question how Kate, who wasn't pregnant on the flight, could be his mother.
I wonder if Jack knows yet that Aaron is his nephew?

An interview with one of the executive producers. And he says with all the documents and information Ben has, he may be one of the Oceanic 6. I doubt it - Ben had been off the island before and can apparently get on or off at will (although his submarine being blown up may have put a kink in that)

By the end of the seventh episode, the audience will now know who the Oceanic 6 are.

The thing that struck me odd was how old Aaron was, he looked like he was at least 3 or 4?
Does this mean they don't get rescued for like another two years or so or have they been off the island for like 2 - 3 years before she got a court date.

Well, given the timeline of the series, they crashed on the island the same day the show premiered (late September 2004) .... and it was actually Christmas Day 2004 in the last episode.
"Through The Looking Glass", last years' season finale was set approximately the same date that the episode actually was on, if I remember right, about April 2007, so it is feasible that they have been off the island for some time.

In the credits, there is no one credited as playing Aaron, but there is someone credited as playing "Two Year Old Boy". I don't recall any other children in the episode, so presumably, that was the "older" Aaron. So, that would lead you to believe that Aaron was supposed to be 2 at the end.
