I want to upgrade from outlook express to outlook, but what I don't know how to do is when I recieve emails, display the picture attachments in the body of the email (such as outlook express) instead of it just showing up as an attachment (as in outlook).

With outlook when you have forwards with lots of pictures and have to double click each one, instead of scrolling down like in outlook express.

Any ideas?

Better yet, loose Outlook altogether, since it's a haven for receiving (more) spam and virii. There are much better mail clients out there...

Tell you friends to only send good attachments, like porn, including things such as boobies. That will save a lot of time wasted on stupid crap like pictures of photoshopped kittens.
True, this way every click would be worth it!

For a bullet proof email client, you can't beat Pegasus mail. A number of my clients use it, and I also use it corporately. It also happens to be freeware. Linky

Contact lists are not anywhere as fancy as in LookOut, although they are not bad. As far as calender options though, I'm afraid that MS LookOut is still the best option. Pegasus is working on a calender module, but it isn't out yet.

I've been using Thunderbird e-mail client for the last couple months and I like it ... its free and made by mozilla ... same people that make Firefox web browser (also recommended if you are sick of Internet Explorer)
