I thought he was going to sign in Calgary for sure, he lives here and I didn't think he thought he was going to get a deal done in Regina. I don't think he was the number one guy on the Stamps list though...I think that belongs to Tom Canada.

Winnipeg also re-signed goodspeed:

So, that makes me happy...they'll have less money for Canada now. I think he'll test the market for sure and a home in Calgary looks promising!

I'm with ya - I thought ED would sign in Calgary for sure with his family living there and the Stamps really needing secondary help. Really happy he re-signed with the Riders - the Rider secondary was looking awfully bad without him (there's still some question marks there).
As for Canada, he might be #1 on every team's list - will be interesting to see where he ends up and what he goes for.

"Acquiring Richard Karikari has added veteran experience to our safety position," said head coach and general manager John Hufnagel.

How the hell is Winnipeg paying these guys? I thought for sure there would be no way they could afford to pay Canada what he wanted. Great news if your a Bomber fan.
Karikari is a good signing. Stamps also put offers in to Armour and Romario. If both those guy wore stamps Red this year, i'd be feeling a lot better about our defence.

Apparently Taman has some tough decisions to make before training camp. With the signing of Canada, Goodspeed and good ol' '99.9% sure' Stegall, he apparently will have to release a couple vets prior to training camp to make things work with the cap.

Rumours around some CFL message boards are that JuJuan Armour never signed in Montreal, despite reports. Apparently he has signed for the Stamps.
Not the best info (one fan apparently talking to a Stamps executive today, another bit of info from a current Eskimo player).

OL Garrick Jones left the Stamps and signed with the arch-rival Eskimos. Good riddance bud! You sucked while with the Stamps. That was a bad trade for the Stamps picking up Jones for Gauthier.
As for Armour, on TSN free-agent page, it showed he resigned with the Montreal.

Like I said, not the best info out there...but:
A post from Kamau Peterson of the Esks (may be in the know?)
http://www.esksfans.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18262
here's a discussion from a random fan (I believe the guy isn't some fly-by-night troll) http://www.riderfans.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56903
And there has been no announcement on cfl.ca's Free Agent tracker...nor is there any news on the Alouette's website (which was also updated today to announce the signing of Jeff Keeping...this makes me think that if Armour had signed yesterday, the news would also be up there as well).

Hmmm, I liked Armour, but it's hard to tell whether he was truly a good player last year, or whether he just stood out on an otherwise crappy team. But he really did show a lot of leadership and emotion, I'm happy to have him here.

LOL. Let's all watch the riders (and their fans) implode.
Joseph for 2 linemen and a pick. Hmmm...somehow I thought there would be a QB coming back the other way, but I'm not a GM.

Sure sounds like that Rider team had some major league cap problems....LOL
"According to the Regina Leader-Post, the Roughriders will receive defensive end Ronald Flemons, offensive tackle Glenn January, the Argos' first-round selection in the 2008 Canadian college draft, and a future, undisclosed draft pick. "

This more than likely means the end for either Bishop or Allen in T.O. I can see Bishop traded somewhere and Allen staying in Toronto to be a mentor to Joseph, considering they're both QBs who like to run.
I was just reading the riders website and it said Joseph was 35 years old! I didnt think he was that old. Maybe this wasn't such a bad move for the riders.
