Wow, so Syl does it again...
Unfortunately for the Isles, I got my adapter today and will be back to send lines in and really send the team back into a tailspin down the standings... yay!
Syl's record as GM: 9 GP, 6-1-2 record... 14 of a possible 18 points!!
As for the game itself, the Isles managed only 16 shots on Ray Emery but beat him twice to take the game 2-1, while Ward stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced for the win.

Frick in 5 seasons with 4 different teams I think I have 2 wins in like 15 games against the Leafs. This year there is an obvious talent disperency...but come one...we could get one fluke win once you'd think? I hate it, hate it hate it. I probalby have 3 more games against them due to the stupid schedule too. Why can't I play the Jets...I'd have a chance in those games.

Hooray a win for the Flyers! All it took was a visit from the worst team in the league to get this team to finally win a game and play some defense.
Blake seemed to play well beating Michael Leighton for two goals. The rest of the team put out their usual mediocre play. Luckily for them that was all that was needed to get the win today.
The Flyers will take some time off before preparing to host a very tricky Anaheim team. Hopefully the team will show up to this game and perhaps even try for more than five minutes.

Thrashers lose again to the Caps 3-1. Good thing is all these injuries are slowly healing up! Up next the Blues.

1072 OILERS 2 SABRES 7
This game was WDF disappointing. The Oilers are now on red alert having lost three in a row for the first time since I don't know--November? And to be blown out by the Sabres, whom we beat 7-0 last week. WDF indeed. The team didn't shoot, there was no D, Brodeur blew it again. Bad news.

The Preds came out sharp against the Habs and avenge our loss earlier this week. Pominville scores a couple and the PP keeps rolling along. We were 2/6 today, which for some teams is routine, but for us its a big improvement this season.

Alex Tanguay needed just five minutes to make his presence felt. He stripped the puck from a Devils defender and scored the games first goal. He finished the night with 2 goals and a helper in 16 minutes of ice time. He also took a couple major penalties in this one racking up 12 minutes in the sin bin.
Marty Turco coming straight from the o2 bar got the nod and turned aside all 20 shots he faced. Thats his 4th skunk of the season.
The team now gets a 2 day break from action to nurse some injuries. Its expected that Willie Mitchell and Andrew Ferance will both be ready to return to the lineup for the game on Tuesday.

Big win as the Wild continue to try to chase down the Blues, Kings and Hawks.
Sergei Federov gets a promotion to the 2nd line and responds with 3 assists before going out with an injury.
Mike Rathje also playing heavier minutes with the trade of Bryan McCabe and gets a goal.

Ducks win again, has to be the best streak of the season. Somehow Wanks gets a win against a tough LA team. Fun to get some wins for a change.

no doubt we did not see this coming especially after that game last week. although the Sabres generally suck these days this is our 2nd 7 goal outburst in the last 3 or 4 games, but other than that...

Another big win keeps us in 7th place but still only 2 pts ahead of 9th as the teams below keep winning as well. It's going to be a close race to the end I'm sure.
Sedin is taking full advantage of playing between two of the top scoring wingers in the league as that line continues to put up big numbers. Two weeks ago, he was not even on the scoring leaderboard and now he's up to 7th overall with Hossa climbing up as well.
Bad news in this one is that Malik went down early in the first and will be out for at least a week. Good news is I believe we have the depth at D to make up for it and this shouldn't hurt too much at all.
Next game is against the Jets and after playing so well against top teams like the Thrashers, Oilers, Capitals, etc. I'm almost certain we're saving our 1st loss in a while for the Jets. Stay focused Sharks!
