Default Best business bank account??

Hey guys, I just incorporated a business, now I need a business bank account to organize the finances. Any recommendations on which bank, if any plays the best interest on a business account, or do any even pay interest? You responses are appreciated.

Well, BMO pays decent interest on their small business premium rate savings plan, but I highly recommend you don't go with them since you can't transfer between your business and personal accounts online which is a huge pain in the arse.

If you will have large amounts in your account, I recommend National Bank. Through a relationship with W. Rhind, you will get back a quarterly cheque for "marketing".

Thank Trout, I'll have to look into that. I wish I could just stick with my PC Finanical one with no fees to transfer or write cheques, they just offer a very small interest on balances and I am hoping for large balances in that account over the years, will hope being the key word.

You better start hoping hard if you believe in all the doom & gloom in that other RE thread

I am a big fan of the credit union system.
I believe in Calgary they are called First Calgary Financial but I havent lived there in a long time so I dont know.
easier to deal with, you can buy shares through them. Its kinda like savings but my CU paid me an 8% dividend last year. Its a good deal.
fees are resonable. and they tend to be more flexible than a charter. and that I know for sure as i used to work for CIBC.
