The guy that goes from cubicle to cubicle who is obnoxious telling everyone to smile. "Smile, Carlos, its not that bad. Smile Adrian, its not tha bad." Its like he has no other way to greet people than to demand they smile. Nobody in the office is grumpy, it makes no sense.

Office pet peeves? Is there anything worse than driving up and seeing someone parked in the space that "technically isn't yours even though you have parked there every day for the past 2 years", and knowing that you can't do anything about it other than trying to beat the person to work every day, or asking them to move (which makes you look like a complete uptight dick - which is accurate in my case - but nevermind that), or steal someone else's "traditional" spot.

People putting the wrong materials in the wrong recycling containers, so someone else has to sort it out.

######bags who think leaving a dixie cup worth of coffee spares them from making a pot.. Senior people who can't use a computer, I've seen some really sad examples and these guys make multiple times my salary.

I work in a pretty small office, and pretty much everyone here is fine and doesn't bug me. But there is one guy that I cannot stand.

-Constantly whispering to himself
-Jumping his legs up and down which makes everything shake
-Constantly clearing his throat
-Swearing out loud when he makes a mistake or something bad happens
-uses the printer excessively
-clips his nails at his desk

basically I just don't like the guy so everything he does is annoying to me.

or people who toss garbage in the recycling containers. Blue bins are for recycling, dummies, not garbage.

The guy in the office next to me is plotting to kill me. I see him whispering to his co-conspirators while they having a coffee as he looks at me with that squinty faced look.

I caught him the other day talking to the boss, I overheard the words, April Fools and Spectacular.

He offered to get me a coffee once, he put suger in it, he knows I hate suger.

He has pictuers of his wife and his kids on the wall, but those pictures look a little generic.

His last name rymes with hyman.

I think I need to deal with him.

I'm not currently working in an office, but when I was...

The guy sitting right beside me (we almost shared a desk) has some annoying habits:
* Constantly tapping his wedding ring on his coffee mug. Right when it was enough, and I was going to tell him to please stop hit, he'd stop...for an hour or so. And he'd do other things like try to spin a pen on his hand, and drop it every time. Just in general, I hate noise.
* His wife calling him at least twice a day, and talking for 15 minutes+
* Also, I hated sitting beside a thin wall that was a meeting room. I could catch every word said, as hard as I tried not pay attention.
* I also hated it when the coffee machine was broken. I lost much caffeine fueled productivity.

People that bring their coffee cup into the bathroom and set it on the counter and then go do their business and then take the coffee cup and keep drinking out of it.

Dude, your coffee cup was in the bathroom right beside the sink where other people are washing their hands after using the bathroom and you are still going to drink out of it? GROSS!

I've been working out of a home office for 15 years, so I don't have any peeves.

Back when I did work in a conventional office though I had two peeves. The biggest was people who wore too much perfume or cologne. A little dab will do ya folks. The amount some people wear makes me gag.

My other peeve was the slugs who wouldn't make a fresh pot of coffee when they took the last cup. If you don't want to make it, don't drink it.

One of my pet peeves is that time right after people have arrived to start the day and before they head out for a coffee. There is almost always a 15 minute group discussion in the hallway and/or over their cubicle walls about what they/spouse/kids did last night/will do tonight. I'm thankful that I have a proper office with a solid wood door but a lot of the squawk still creeps in.

Oh, and the voice mail reviewer who puts their phone on speaker at top volume. That's awesome too.

I do designs from residential to commercial and my co-worker is always telling me and customers how busy he is. I rattle off 3 or 4 designs in the time he does 1...what frustrates me even more is that he leaves constantly during the day to "run errands" and then bitches about how he is so backed up with things

not to get too off topic, but when i was reading it, it was 5 pages, i didnt change any settings before I posted a reply and when i went back to reading new posts, this thread had lost a good 50 or so responses.

i suppose a mod deleted the old posts?

doesnt matter, it was just odd.

I think there's company policies about perfume in the dress code. You can submit an officla complaint.

As for the coffee I don't think it so I don't know. But same goes for the Xerox. People see that the thing is out of paper or is jammed, they just walk away.

That drives me up the wall.. People print crap that jams up the printer then screw off when its stuck inside.. Its pretty sad when most copiers provide visual step by step instructions on how to unjam them.. Its especially sad when I work in an engineering company, and these people are supposed to be technically knowledgable..

It's no longer an issue for me ... as I mentioned at the beginning of my post, I've been working out of a home office for 15 years. People can wear all the stinkem they want to work for all I care now.

Oh that is the worst! Funny, it happens every time someone walks into my office...I guess I'm a gassy fella.

How about the mid-to-late-30-something lady, who is a total 'C U Next Tuesday' to everyone on the floor, who still thinks she's hot s***, who makes the entire hallway where her office is smell like sh***y old-woman perfume. YACK!
