An update for today--Barack Obama will carry Virginia--looks like by a pretty fair margin.

I'm getting to be pretty interested in the GOP race. If you look at this exit poll, it looks like McCain is in trouble in Virginia, though they're not going to call it until they get some numbers, because the margin looks to be about 2%.

This is interesting because Virginia's 60 delegates are winner-take-all. If Huckabee wins (and it looks really close), then he's not that far behind if he can persuade Romney's delegates to vote for him--which is not out of the realm of possibility. 47% of primary voters were evangelical Christians in VA., which is bad news for McCain.

Looks like I may have spoken too soon--McCain is looking good now, though it is still close. Although given the fact that polls showed McCain with a double-digit lead, it's still interesting.

At long last, Obama moves in front of Clinton in the Delegate race as delegates in Virginia are counted.

Obama 1170
Clinton 1168

CNN talking about how far ahead Obama is based on regular delegate votes...And how super delegates are on the tipping point.

Obama isn't just winning, he's dominating.

Oh and another Hillary campaign manager quit.

Barack Obama has handily carried Washington D.C.!

49% of precincts reporting

Obama 76%
Clinton 24%

It is official. Barack Obama has swept the Potomac. 8 contests in a row now have been won by Obama.

Obama now has a lead in delegates for the first time. It makes me wonder if Clinton's strategy of focusing on Ohio, Penn. and Texas might backfire.

I for one look forward to a McCain/Obama finale.

Although I wonder how Obama will attack McCain, and vice versa.

I don't think Obama needs to, i think against McCain, Obama has too much charisma to lose, no need to go trying to mess that up by attacking McCain, as long as Obama sticks to pushing his own platform I think he'll be fine.

Yeah, maybe when he wins the primaries we'll actually hear about his platform.

This election has been the same story from the beginning, people don't care what goes into office as long as it's not more of the same. Obama's 'change' campaign was perfectly timed.

McCain is pro war. He does not stand a chance in November.
