3rd loss in a row for the panthers, outshot heavily 35-17. not happy about this result.
the same lineup lost consecutive 3-2 games to the thrashers, but got completely dominated today. time for another deal?
finally after 4 games fernandez moved from 97 to 98, and corvo remains at 98 after like 6 games...............

Bacashua gets lit up big-time and the Avs blow a lead after a wild first period vs the Pens. Pens made a blockbuster to shake the team up and it appears to have worked.

Great Debut for Jackman...a goal and an assist and 3rd star. Blues take it to the Wings yet again, 5-3. Crosby and Tucker each chip in with 1G, 1A each.
Blues are now 19-3-3 in the last 25

Nice bounce back win for the Ducks. Dipietro makes 32 saves and gets 1st star as the Ducks got outshot badly 34-21.

Ah, those tricky Kings....Talbot, Craig and Fillipula of all the guys on that team are the ones that killed me today. Here I though I'd have troubles matching up against their good players...Than all their second rate guys take the boots to me. Argh....

Thrashers play a very good road game beating the Leafs 8-3 and outshooting them 34-21. Eric Belanger led the way with a pair of goals and Darryl Sydor/Derian Hatcher each had 3 points. Brenden Morrow re-aggravated an injury and went from 98 to 96 CD while Luke Richardson was injured and is day to day. The Thrashers get a much deserved day off tomorrow before they play Columbus on Monday. Brind'Amour had 3 assists moving him into 2nd in the CPHL with 79 points and with the win the Thrashers now have a league leading 94 points.

The Habs are making it very difficult for their GM to decide whether to be sellers or buyers at the deadline. This is their 4th win in a row and have really started to show some promise.
Jokinen, Michalek and Bernier all had big games today. Let's hope Lehtinen returns quickly so we can get some of our 4th liners out of the game.

Huge win by the Pens to move into the 8th and final playoff spot in the Gretzky conference. This team is just starting to role and I can only hope this recent deal does not affect team chemistry. Lehtonen was again mediocre in the net allowing 4 goals on just 22 shots so we are hoping Nabby can close the door on our season long goaltending woes. Huge game tomorrow as we try to maintain a playoff spot for the first time this season when we battle the Flames.

That was way too close of a game against the Jackets. Good thing my second rate players came through though. A few much needed days off to rest weary players.

Norrena was awful as the Flyers fall to the Oilers 5-3. GM moon did not bench him as earlier stated for allowing the goal against the Ducks and it came back to bite him in the ass.
On a positive note we took three of their bums out of the line-up and Bergeron appears to be gone for a few days at least. and more importantly for tomorrows rematch between the teams.
Hasek will get the start tomorrow and hopefully the team will focus on scoring a few more goals rather than hurting the Oilers soft as butter players!

No thanks needed, you more then repaid me by knocking Kipper out for my match-up with the Flames tomorrow...If I lose to that Leaf Pogge I will not be happy...LOL

The Nords are in dire straights now, having to make a decision as the trade deadline approaches. Do we try to load up for a stretch run, or take the good things that have happened this year, and try to build on them for next season.
Not sure which way I'm looking at now, but a decision will be made soon.
In other news... the Sens lost to the Jets... just thought I'd point that out.

Wow! The Devils go 3-for-4 on the power play and get the game winner with 3 seconds left in the 2nd period. Another win for the good guys, it's weird, they seem to be doing better now that the team has been dismantled and we've had injury problems. Oh well!

well its good to know that after a 7 goal loss we are back to our one goal losses. too tired and or cold after getting in from the game to post out complete trade list, will get to it tomorrow. Other than that OIlers debacle I think this is the third or fourth time in the last 5 games, we outshoot the opposition (this time by a wide margin) and still lose. got to bury more chances

Well the good times had to end sometime and it certainly did against the Devils. Giving up 3 PP goals on 4 attempts is never a good thing and we'll be looking for another solid defensive forward to hopefully make a difference on the PK.
We'll be trying a slightly different approach vs. the Canadiens today so we'll see if any of the changes can result in a better outcome.

Canes young guns come through as Weiss, Carter, Latendresse and Boyes combine for 7 points as the Carolina Hurricanes defeat the Florida Panthers with a score of 4 to 1.
The Kid Line was reunited today as Weiss took over the No.1 center spot replacing John Madden, a move that paid off big time for the Canes as it brought the slumping center out of the recent funk he was in. The Kid Line dominated the action as who totaled 13 shots and kept the Panthers pinned most of the game.
Pascal LeClair recored his 19th win of the season and 18th win as a Hurricane. Pascal will look to start tomorrow verses the Devils as he seeks backstop out his first 20 win season

Just curious: did anyone actually submit lines for me (as per the prediction thread)? If so, thank you for the win! If not, thank you autolines for the win!
The Oilers banged up squad sure enjoyed ripping through the Flyers' soft as butter backup goaltender.
Knowing their slapdash team didn't stand a chance against an ailing Edmonton side and that the two teams would meet again tomorrow, the Flyers' game plan was apparently to goon it up and try to injure even more Oilers, which they did successfully. They managed to knock Patrice Bergeron out for the next few games. Oh well, I guess tomorrow we will have to replace Bergeron with... Henrik Zetterberg who is finally off the IR--haha sucka! Eric Perrin will also come off the IR to help compensate for the injuries caused by the Broadstreet Bullying inflicted upon our team.
Zetterberg and team welcomes the chance to face a real goalie tomorrow en route to sweeping the home-and-home.

Woof!
OK, this is getting ridiculous! The Coyotes have offically traded in the team bus for a fleet of ambulances.
We did pull out the comeback over the Wild with an OT victory. Handzus had PP goals in each of the 3rd and extra periods to lead the Desert Dogs to the win. Toskala stopped 22 of 24 shots for the win.
The real story is the revolving IR door for Phoenix.
Last night Ponikarovsky became the latest in a LONG line to be placed on IR. This is now resulting in other players getting tired all the time....grrrrr
Here is the current Coyote situation.
Andrew Alberts CD-24 (IR)
Kyle Calder CD-66 (IR)
Pavel Kubina CD-84 (IR)
Alexei Ponikarovsky CD-85 (IR)
Colin White CD-97
Daniel Tjarnqvist CD-99
Martin Rucinsky CD-99
It's gut check time today VS the Ducks! Hope all the band-aids hold together for this one.
