Default Miami holding parade for Giants and Dolphins (Humour)

"On Friday at noon, the City of Miami is holding a parade to celebrate the Giants Super Bowl win, and the Dolphins still being the only perfect team.

Members of the 72 Dolphins, Giants and current Dolphins will be in attendance."

Ok this is just stupid now. Yes the '72 Dolphins went undefeated, great job. Now all you old-timers can all go away. The current 2007 Dolphins were a long bomb in OT away from completing their own perfect season, and not in a good way. I'm getting very sick of hearing about the '72 Dolphins.

LOL! Yet the Pats are the organization that gets lambasted. The current Dolphins are participating? Why? To celibrate the fact that they sucked? This is as good as the Leafs trotting out the members of the 93 team that didn't even get to the finals.

The Giants should be hammered for participating. Ridiculous.

Man. The '72 Dolphins have no shame. I hope Mercury Morris gets run over by a float.

Considering the '07 Dolphins are participating, I'd say its more like the '93 San Jose Sharks getting a parade to celebrate their 11 wins.

Until this year, I hadn't even heard of Mercury Morris, and already I hate him.

I am sooooooooo glad the Patriots lost the SB to the Giants and i'd want the same result 100 out of 100 times but the '72 Dolphins need to shut the hell up. They were interviewed and said it was no big deal if the Patriots won right before the game and then when they lost they are making it a huge deal.

If the Dolphins think they lost badly to the Pats last year, just wait until Bellichek posts pictures of the parade in the lockerroom before playing the Dolphins next season.

You hadn't heard of him because he was in jail. (actually I think he has been out for awhile)

Allthough I agree it is excessive the fact of the matter is it was a great accomplishment. If you don't like it don't read about it. Why the 07 dolphins are there I don't know, I'm sure there will be some paper bags for the 07 dolphins in the crowd!

You say Miami of 07 was a long bomb away from 0-16, well guess what they were also 6 field goals away from being 7-9. So look at it both ways the team wasn't good, but they had a lot of bad luck this year.

Don't forget lots of teams finished 1-15. Including the patsies.

I hate how people get so uptight over it.

Also someone please provide a link, I'm looking at the Miami Herald and I don't see anything!

I'm sure it wasn't the players ideas, it was probably the cities and I'm sure the city has invited all of them! I think you'd go too if you where part of that team

Also Mercury morris doesn't call the media, THE MEDIA CALLS HIM!!!!!!!

All I can say is blame the media, not the players!!!!!

They don't call the media every year and say guess what we're popping the champagne do you want to talk about it. THE MEDIA CALLS THE PLAYERS!!!!!!!!!

I dont think the MEDIA is having the parade. The players, led by Morris, are a bunch of clowns. The fact that this is happening and is including members from this years team is disgraceful. I cant understand how you defend this... even slightly.

"It was a great accomplishment..." good lord. Get over it. 36 years is a long time... hopefully the times coming for these idiots to start dying off.

IT'S THE PLAYERS NOT THE MEDIA!!!!!!!!

Yeah, he spent years in prison for having a negligible amount of marijuana in his possession. It's an interesting story actually.

Couldn't agree more. They had one of the easiest schedules in the history of sports, but even worse, they completely ignore this fact, completely ignore that nowadays there is a cap, free agency and weighted schedules.

The entire NFL community, especially the media just needs to turn their backs at these clowns.

As far as I can see, this is a joke- something to be taken as seriously as an Onion article.

Here's the link I found: http://www.serioussportsnewsnetwork....-dolphins.html

And another link from their top news: Brady missing Pro Bowl with unexpected bout of soreloseritus

So, unless the OP or anybody can post something a little more reliable, I am going to re-label this thread as "Humour."

This is a joke, like I suspected.

On another note though, tell me how the dolphins players would have a parade are they going to stop traffic.

The players don't call the media so how is it the players and not the media, you need to back your point up for me to believe you.

Someday another team will go undefeated and will you say the same about them if your still alive?

Records are meant to be broken. Don't blame the players, if you were part of that team you'd be talking about it all the time.
