That's exactly what the Giants needed off the start of the half. No Pats points.

Yeah but all this hard work will go for not if the Giants don't put some points on the board soon. Giants d is playing great but that NE offense will eventually get some pts. NY needs to put any kind of points on the board on this drive, be it a FG or TD.

I missed it . . . is he challenging too many players (illegal formation) against the Giants?

12 men on the field. A Giant was running to the sidelines and they are challenging if the Patriots snapped the ball before he got off resulting in too many men.

Gameday on nfl.com is saying the play was upheld...I guess that happened during the commercial break.
[Edit]
Guess the website was wrong!

How do you challenge that? I don't get it - doesn't there have to be a call to be a challenge?

That is pathetic that a guy who is not at all involved in the play and one foot from the sidelines gives the Pats a first down.
How come it seems that every stupid rule they have in the NFL ends up helping the Pats out in the play-offs?

A bit of arrogant play-calling by the Pats.

What the hell kind of playcalling is that going for it on 4-13 when you're in field goal range? Terrible...I hope that doesn't haunt them later.

Yeah it's a stupid rule but it's a rule nonetheless. Giants made a bad move there on special teams.

NE might have to try a trick play next time - nothing else is working.
