Default Polls - why do they work like they do?

If I haven't made a choice, I can click on "see results" and not only see results, but who voted for what.

But after I vote, I can see the results but I don't see any way to see the names of who voted for each category.

That just seems kind of weird to me. I would think that you should be able to see how other people voted after you made your vote, not before.
