Technically, Sportscenter (missed an "s").

Weird.. that's Around The Horn's spot which TSN has never shown.
ESPN sportscenter is at 4pm like TSN.

Kind of off topic, but has anyone ever compared the two Sportscenters?
I was in the US, and the ESPN version was totally mickey mouse compared to the TSN version.
TSN has a beautiful set and looks infinitely better produced than ESPN's. Was rather surprised.

I only caught it once, back when I was in Florida over Christmas break 2005-6. I absolutely loved it(though Im a huge NFL fan, and all they were talkin was football. You just dont get that level of coverage up here), I miss it so much. It was the week leading up to the big USC/Texas National Championship Game and they were all over it, even we don't cover hockey the way they were covering football. Though in terms of actual layout, I didnt see a huge dif. Just focusing most of their attention on completely different sports. I think TSN does a pretty solid job.

ESPN has attention deficit disorder, jumping from sport to sport to sport and back again.. Now, back to College Basketball . . .

Yeah and PTI just ended at 6, which is weird as it usually ends at ~430 doesn't it?

quick question regarding PTI, i have my PVR set to record Off The Record and many times it catches the last few seconds of PTI and i've seen one of the hosts waving a Canadian flag around on more than one occasion. what's the story with that?

i believe in the states pti is 1 hour, but they do a sportscenter update in the middle. on tsn they go to sportscentre after the first half and never go back, so he says goodnight to canada because we leave before the show is actually all over. i think thats it, anyways...

Deoxyribonucleic Acid, for example... sounds impressive, right? But have you ever seen what happens if you put something in acid? It dissolves! If we had all this acid in our cells, we'd all dissolve! So much for the Theory of Evolution, Check MATE!

That has always driven me nuts down there--3 basketball games, 2 hockey games, some tennis, some football, 3 more basketball games, some boxing highlights, some more hockey.......
I like the Canadian way of going sport by sport (more or less).

Sportscenter on ESPN is a borefest. Beating the same issues over your head. Terrell Owens said this, Barry Bonds did this. And way too much football talk. How many times do you have to talk about one single player or game or event in football? They can go on and on. And they never cover hockey.
TSN's Sportscentre is much more entertaining. Mostly because they cover hockey really well.

I don't think so. I haven't watched the show in awhile but when I did after Kornheiser waved good-bye to Canada all they had left was the big finish. Which is just a 1ish segment where they do quick blurbs.

Exactly. Its because up here TSN covers hockey the way ESPN covers football in the States. I dont think ESPN covers football more than TSN does hockey. Just depends on what sport you like I guess. If youre solely an NHL guy, I can definitely see why you wouldnt like ESPN.

I listened to the podcast once.. they do like an extra 5 minutes during the sportscenter show. Nothing new, they just repeat the same issues.
