Well, got to work here in Lethbridge and spent 15 minutes removing the waste deep drifts across the entire front door. I finally gave up as it was just too damn cold and still have about a quarter left to do.
-29 with a 40 km wind...no thanks. I'm staying inside all day until it's 4 bells

just wait until you have to head into the wind going back. That's the fun part.

Interesting, was she coming in from the Northwest by any chance?
We left Dalhousie at 7:10 and were informed while in the tunnel between the University and Banff Trail that the switch downtown on 7 ave and 9st was broken.
So 45 minutes later, we're in between Northland and Sait, just sitting there not moving. Suddenly this lady just faints. So once we finally got to Sait, the driver came down and had to make sure she was okay.
Longest train ride ever!

I swear to god, I farted on the walk from my parking spot to the office, and it froze mid air, fell to the ground and shattered like a bomb.

I did see a guy on his bike coming into downtown along the Bow. Unbelievable.
I got up at 5:00am to walk to my gym - only my eyes were exposed, and they were watering within seconds of being outside.
Gotta love it!

yeah, yeah. I'll remember that when you're choked in smog in July and August. And that wonderful humidity. I can put up with a little cold.

so last night I was driving home from my buddies house at my truck said -29. Guess what I needed. GAS! Guess what's hard to find open at 12:45 in the morning in the NW. A gas station thats open!
Station 1: Drive up, get out, open up the gas tank, get my wallet out (frozen), pry it open, struggle managing my fingers (gloveless) to get my credit card out. Get it out. Look up. "Pump Station Closed"
Well damn...
Station 2: Make sure pumps don't say Closed, Drive up. Get out, Open up gas tank, get wallet out, barely manage fingers to get credit card out, Full Serve spot so no pay at the pump. Get back in, do an awkward U-Turn get into self serve.
Station 2b: Get out, open gas tank, get out wallet, credit card (still no gloves) get hit by burst of wind that knocks card out of hand, pick it up out of snow (still no gloves) insert, authorize, grab pump, Get finger stuck on freezing metal, put it in, pull the trigger. No pressure, pump is off
F*** It!
Drove home praying I don't run out of gas the rest of the way.
All this after losing to my buddy in guitar hero for the first time....

It was funny pulling away from the curb this morning. The tires were frozen so the first couple minutes it was like driving down a VERY bumpy road.
