I don't want to open Pandora's union discussion box, but I'll never forget pulling up to the lights at Southland and Bonaventure about 8 years ago. It was the year the city decided to redo all the curbs.
Four workers standing there, passing a joint around, and a fifth digging. It was summer, my windows were open... I know the smell of weed... All I could do was laugh a little. Must've been coffee break, right?

Seriously? That's kinda dumb, not exactly a quiet intersection.

Is that an Enmax truck ???

I'm surprised that they can leave the Tim Hortons by Costco South long enough to get stuck somewhere.

If they were subject to drug testing no one would work for the city.. I wonder if one of them got distracted trying to pass the doob when the excavator jumped out at them..

I have never in my life seen more than half of a road work crew actually doing roadwork. 25% might even be a stretch. Either way I always wave to yield sign person!
