Default Superleauges

I'm thinking of signing up for the May to Aug period.
Quick question for anyone that has done superleauges,

How much does it cost to register?
The main page said 2800 + 50 but I'm guessing thats for a team, Is it around the $100-200 per player?

Cool. Do they play full rink? That'd be a lot of running You'd have to be pretty fit.

I highly recommend it. I've been playing summer leagues for about 4 years now, and it is a ton of fun. A lot of running for sure, but...I can't find anything as fun elsewhere.

Can't say enough about it. I love ball hockey, and it is a pretty well run league. I can't speak for the winter leagues as much however as I have been unable to play in them.

Bump!

Possibly looking for a team. I'm pretty much a new player to hockey but I have decent hands.

superleagues is a lot of fun to play, i played this past winter league, first time, and enjoyed it much, i payed roughly 250 (that included the cost of my jersey from my team) and its not played on full size rinks, the winter league is played on a smaller rink then the spring/summer league, i believe the spring/summer league is played on rinks like west hillhurst, thats where the winter playoffs are finishing off, which is a bigger rink then legacy in which the season for winter was played. Just curious, any players from the Aces on CP?

Yeah I've been playing with Superleagues for a few years now, it's a well run ball hockey league and a lot of fun. I believe the league is trying something new this season and directly charging players from teams rather than having one person pay for the team, and collecting fees. I paid $204 for the summer season.

In lethbridge it's $195 + GST per player so its probably something similar to that in calgary.

Yup.. i have entered a Team (The Rude Boys) ... and i played for another team last season.. right now they started us in Div 6... but i have a feeling we will be bumped up to 4 (where i played last year) or 5.

It is alot of fun and some real hard work. What is neat is that if you win your division you get a chance to play in provincals in Edmonton in July.

I may have an extra spot as i need to get a few more of my slow ass friends signed up before the end of the day (need 12 paid)... I will let you know later this afternoon...

Is this a competitive league, or just an out for fun kind of league? Obviously there is competition, even in a recreational league, but how competitive does it get?

it is competitive, but any blatant hits/bodychecking gets called as penalties, they dont' tolerate too much phsyical play, but will let battles in the corner and stuff like that slide. its not too rough at all, you can't completely stand the guy up, you gotta stick check more then using your body to stop him, well that was div 5 for us at least in the winter league

Playing in Division 4 there were some pretty good battles... and often you could get away with a little bit of body contact (not full out hitting) ... for instance in front of the net.

Oh... and your shins get hacked up to peices from sticks and balls....
