it was starting to become in need of renovations, guess this is a good way for the insurance company to pay for it.

LOL. No. He had Bellagio, Mirage and MGM Grand.
My friend and I were recently talking about the Monte Carlo and we both feel that it needs to be revamped, it has the feel of the place you'd stay/gamble at if the other places were full.

Yeah, that place is dirty...I'm guessing the Imperial Palace is next on the light on fire list. It is part of the MGM group though which has Mirage, Treasure Island, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur and New York New York in it's holdings too.
I think Circus-Circus is also in that group...that place needs to skip the fire and just opt for the implosion.

My father-in-law (who always stays at Harrah's) heard that Harrah's is planning on rebuilding. Harrah's is also a dive.

I would assume an implosion and a brand new one gets built, kinda like the Stardust.

What's the name of the Irish dive close to Caesars Palace?
We went in because they had a Burger King and I felt like I was in the 1970s, and I wasn't even born then. It was creepy with all the dark wooden paneling.

Well, Fitzgerald's is downtown, so I think you might be talking about the Shamrock? Isn't that just a motel, though?

O'Shea's!!!!! I had to look on a hotel map.
Yah, that place is a dump. Sometimes the sleazy places, though, are where you can play cards for cheap.

You're thinking of O'Sheas. My brother was telling me that Ice Cube of all people now owns that joint. One thing about those places is that they do have their cheap drinks.....although you may want to bring your own glass.

I saw this happen live today and shot a picture of it on my cell phone. I was in a car and we happened to be driving right past it as it was about at its peak. I thought they were going to lose control of it, because at that time there were flames shooting out and there weren't yet any signs of the fire being fought. By the time I got to the airport, they had it largely under control and were battling the flames from the roof. Pretty good job by those firefighters - I thought she may be going down.

Wonder if the film crew for Oceans 14 made it there in time, could be something to build a story behind.
