Well, the point of the thread is celebrities that arent *THAT* attractive. Im not saying shes some sort of pig, I just dont think shes a super hot celeb, especially when the makeup and photoshopping is taken away.

In fact that goes for pretty much ever single women you have ever met and ever will meet.... whose wife or girlfriend looks the same as she does all done up for a party or her wedding as she does after a 18 hour flight or first thing in the morning... even in those worst possible moment shots she still has a natural beauty... besides that first pic is not a photo shoot, and has no lighting set up etc... and she looks good.
lol, beside it would be superficial of me to love her for only her looks we have a way deeper connection... and as soon as she knows about it, wow sparks will fly... :P

Man that last line made me laugh.
And the rest of your post, no doubt. I don't know if we have an expectation that these people were born with makeup on and a lighting crew following them around, but we have some pretty wild ideas about what they look like (ie - not human).
Speaking of, I find Jenna Jameson generally looks like an inflated hooker, which stands to reason, I guess, but I once saw a picture of her (face) intentionally stripped of make-up and she is a knockout when not all slathered in goose-grease.

She's also the only reason I was able to sit through all of Vanilla Sky.

Well, like I said, Im not saying shes a pig, just in my mind she met the criteria of the original post. I only threw out the no makeup pics because that pic of her in the bikini looked like someone completely different to me.

Rule of thumb:
Most people on camera look worse than they do in person, IF they are not wearing make up. That's why even dudes where makeup on camera.
So I think when it comes to star the attractiveness is somwhere in between the shots where they are all dolled up and photoshopped and the ones where they are completely free of makeup.

Oh sorry KG, I didn't mean to single you out specifically. There's an entire industry devoted to taking pictures of these people looking shabby/normal because that's what people want to see. That's really what I was talking about.

Jessica Simpson's face.
Sure she has a nice body, but take a good close look at her face. The make-up can't "make up" for it.

Jennifer Hedger - especially on HD. I don't get the adoration for her.
How could anyone not love Scarlett?

I agree with you, but I included her because she gets a little too much media coverage for someone who is not good looking, can't act and doesn't have an interesting personal life.

While I support you on both previous points I have to ask: Is it really a celebrity requirement to either
A) Have a history of smashing up luxary cars after snorting blow/drinking well over the legal limit
B) Start/be part of an insane religion
C) Have a history of mental health problems
or
D) All of the above
I didn't know having an interesting personal life was a requirement

Wow it's funny how big the personal opinions differ... Scarlet reminds me of Jack's Joker in Batman, I'm afraid she's going to eat me with that gigantic smile-mouth
