Haha agreed. At first I was wondering how I had missed something so big, until I saw the pic. Hound, how the hell did you even notice that?

You can see it falling too in the scene, my brother told me to watch for it. The satellelite explination is a definate cop out I think.

After whats-her-nuts gets bit, and they are walking towards the doors before the light. I think her shoulder was glowing.

CNN has an article explaining why some people have been getting sick from the movie:

As for the advice at the end about watching it at home...unless you have a big screen home theatre system with surround sound, I wouldn't. These types of movies need to be seen on the big screen. Watching from home on a regular TV wouldn't do it justice.

Ya, but still, there seems to be a few people who think it's BS and it doesn't happen.

Really? Who's never heard of that concept before? Whoever thinks that must have absolutely iron stomachs. It's pretty hard to rattle me that way and even I had to look away a couple of times near the beginning.

Based on some of the comments in the other Cloverfield thread:
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthr...erfield&page=3
I have never actually experienced vertigo or nausea from this, but I did get a killer headache watching the Blair Witch, which I attributed to the jittery camera.

just got back from the movie, thought it was excellent. loved the camera work (knew i would though, since i really enjoyed the Bourne movies) and the first big military battle with the monster was epic. really dug the subway scene too, not much can creep me out but that was pretty close
but is it for sure that the monster came from the deep sea and not extra-terrestrial? at the beginning you see the military preface say that the tape came from incident zone #447, meaning that there could be at least 446 other incident zones, like a full out invasion of earth
