If I recall correctly from the comics, he webs the camera in a corner where the supervillian is doing damage, then he sets it to take periodic pictures.
I remember one comic when he fought the Sandman, but forgot to set the timer, so he faked the pictures by throwing sand up in the air and pretending to punch it.

Pete's a science guy, he could probably program it to take periodic pictures (as you mentioned) or have pictures taken (and camera moved) when a certain sound frequency or movement (via Doppler Affect).

I am resurrecting this thread to express my outrage at this film.
This is without question the worst movie I have seen in the last 5 years, possibly longer.
This movie was hours of life-sucking cinematic disgrace!

Well... I figure Spiderman 3 and The Matrix 3 can duke it out for most over-hyped/under-delivered movie of all time!

Ha ha. I just watched this the other night and felt the same way. It took some amount of willpower to not turn it off during that stupid scene in the restaurant.

My rage regarding this movie cant be properly expressed due to CP's profanity filter.
Venom's death in this movie was awful. Worst sequence I have ever seen hands down.
The "Butler who knew all" was an enormous cop-out by Raimi.
How about: "I forgive you" and then Sandman literally turns to dust in the wind. What? Really? Dammit, Raimi is the worst director of all time.

Just atrocious. There wasn't even a point where I could say "Well at least THAT part was cool," because it was just so awful. The restaurant seen were Parker was being "badass" was absolutley painful.
Bruce Campbell was funny.

Now, now, he did bring us the Evil Dead trilogy, and "Darkman" was pretty good. He's just gotten fat and happy, and forgotten that making movies is more than throwing a bunch of cliches into a mixmaster and lettin' her rip.

Its sad when a Bruce Campbell cameo is the highlight of the entire movie. It honestly is.
The restaurant scene made me insane with rage. I was sorely tempted to hurtle my drink at the screen to make the pain stop.
If it hadnt been a Rye and Coke the size of a small trash can, and the alcohol was the only thing keeping my wrath in check I just might have.

Yeah, I absolutely hated this movie. I was never a comicbook guy, but I enjoyed Spider-Man 1 and 2. 3 however, was atrocious.

How lame was Venom in general? Eddie Brock is quite possibly one of the coolest villain alter-egos out there and instead we got Eric Foreman meets Gollum or something.
EDIT: And the Venom death was a total rip off of Return of the King.

The non-stop bitch fest that Mary Jane was bringing the whole movie was brutal. It hurt my brain... wah wah wah, i'm a terrible singer... wah wah wah, i'm pissed at you because people like you more, even though you come to all my shows and cheer me on and give me support...
And that whole scene where Harry and MJ were making Omeletes and doing the twist was brutal. Here they are trying to cram three bad guys with their back stories into one flick and they have time to show a completely pointless scene like that?
Plus all the other beefs mentioned. What a waste of time.

Not to mention the scene where Harry tells Peter he's "the other man" and Peter just walks away crying like a little bitch.

Extremely lame. They totally gayed up my favorite comic book character of all time.
How painfully lame was his death? A ring of pipes? Really? A ring of freaking pipes.
They killed Venom by surrounding him with a ring of pipes, and then ran around that ring, hitting the pipes with another pipe.
Worst. Film Sequence. Of All Time. Evar.
And then Sandman turns to dust. Literally turns to dust.
Copout after copout after copout.

Oh, man. The MJ is the worst GF in the history of women theme was pure weaksauce. I was hoping they'd just kill her off. If you're gonna screw with the storyline then you might as well swing for the fences.
How about that ultra-weak, extremely long scene with Aunt May at the beginning?
- "I'm gonna marry her Aunt May"
- "Nobody cares Peter, because shes a whiny little bitch and you're shy a pair of testicles, this is the worst scene ever. Here, let me give you a ring and hope Raimi kill us both off."

^^No kidding! It's like they didn't even have an ending written into the script by the time filming began.
Sam Raimi: 'Here's your script.'
Producer: 'Sam...uh...there's no ending here.'
Sam Raimi: 'Yeah, couldn't quite think of anything.'
Producers: 'What do you mean?'
Sam Raimi: 'Don't worry, I'm sure we'll come up with something. Besides, it's not like the rest of the movie is any good!'

Not to mention the huge groaners that he just threw in.
The enormous American Flag sequence? Okay, fine, patriotism and all that jazz. Its called subtlety Raimi. Look it up.
He figuratively smashes you over the head with his point out of fear that you wont 'get it.'
At least in the previous 2 movies he somehow worked the "we're proud to be Americans and we stick together" into the movie.
This time, no dice. Ginormous American Flag with Spiderman, whom by this time you wish was dead, posing in front of it for like a solid 20 second clip.
Get on with it Raimi.
How about the Harry Osborne/Peter Parker kiss and make up scene?
My Butler tells me you didnt do it. Now we can be friends again.
How can they put out of their minds the fact that they've eached had each other's sloppy seconds with this tramp of MJ?
Friendship over. Deal with it.

My favourite part was when Stan Lee makes an appearance.... other then that I agree with most of you.... except for the bar scene, but only because when we saw it in the theatre, right after Peter pushes MJ to the ground, some guy yelled out, "B@$+ARD!" and it was extremely funny at the time....

I would say Charlie's Angels takes that award. They were billboard advertising that one more than a year before, and what a load of crap that turned out to be. Still one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Even nice women didn't save the thing.
