In fairness, the ACLU has basically recognized that their role in America is to fight for the rights of Americans to do anything they damn well please, whenever, and wherever they want. They are no doubt aware that they will lose a great many of the cases they take up, but they have essentially taken a "zero tolerance" approach towards any encroachment of any liberty anywhere at any time, which is a decent first line of defense - though it does lead to absurd situations at times.

I agree with the ACLU on this one. Some of their claims are ridiculous, I don't think this one is.

I agree with them most of the time--but I find this stance a little puzzling. As I understand it, the problem in the Larry Craig case WAS the location--the fact that the sex act was to take place in a public washroom, as opposed to the privacy of, say, a hotel room.
A stronger argument to me is that the actions of the cop in that case are basically the definition of entrapment, not to mention that a) there's vast room for a "misunderstanding" and b) there's no evidence that Craig didn't intend to invite the cop to come with him to a more private location. The actions of the police are a huge violation of civil rights, IMO---but not because sex in public washrooms should be OK.
I mean--isn't there also a basic understanding that the public has an interest in people not having sex in plain sight? Not to be a prude.... but come on. "Get a room" is an expression for a reason.

Is it illegal to knowingly enter the wrong Sexes washroom? Could you get charged with anything? Otherwise, this situation would only apply to Homosexual sex since it's not normal (illegal?) for a woman to enter a mens bathroom and vice versa. If this disorderly conduct charge is dropped they better start implementing more "family" washrooms where both sexes are allowed to enter and have Sex!

The charge can't be dropped, he already plead guilty back in the summer, or whenever it was that this happened. In retrospect, that was the Senator's mistake - he plead guilty, hoping that it would go away and stay quiet. Of course, it didn't and now there is virtually nothing that he can do.

2nd or 3rd floor of Craggie Hall is the place to go on the UofC Campus. 5 stalls and no one uses it.

I've used it sometime between the hours of ~8am-11am. But I assume it probably is like that all day and especially at night. There are no classes held on those floors and most of the staff is female.

A nudge is as good as a wink to a blind man.

Well, Rouge clearly wanted to have gay sex with me in the UofC public washrooms. So, I gave him my hours.

Well I was hoping you'd be a little more specific, but that'll have to do.
Wednesday, stall second furthest from the end. I have white shoes, the left one will be untied.

Nice recovery.
And getting back to the story about the Senator, the story always reminds me of the bottom quote in my sig.

You're not. Unless I'm in smoe sort of emergency situation I don't even bother going at work anymore where have a private one toilet john. Nevermind having to hear someone 'sploinking' right next to me. I just wait until I get home.
Thank God for my ironclad difestive system.

As long as the stall is clean, I don't care where I drop a deuce.

The next time I have an unfortunate "accident" that happens to be messy and noisy, everyone knows about it and therefore not private? Not like it is anyway and at times provides a chuckle from bystanders.
