Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Film May Become Two
Deathly Hallows Split in Two?
Quote:
According to British rag The Mail on Sunday, the crew working on the sixth adaptation -- Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince -- have already been told the news.
The paper quotes an unnamed "film source" who said: "There's so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on Voldemort that needs to be done really well."
|
I would support this. There is simply too many important plot points in the Deathly Hallows to fit it into one film comfortably unless the movie was 4+ hours long.

Bunk, all that they want to do is double the revenue and keep this profit pig rolling.
I'm sure that 10 years after the last movie, we'll see a reunion movie
"Harry Potter and the tax return from hell"
or
"Harry Potter and the LOLZCATS"
because that one would make billions.

just so long as they are released within the same year. that would be a hard thing to do with a book. Its hard to keep interest over two movies when everyone already knows whats happening

Lord of the Rings proved that.

I agree with both movies being in the same year (maybe Summer and Christmas?).
Highlight to see spoilers below.
I think they should divide it up so that the first movie ends after Harry and friends stay with Bill and Fleur so that it includes the wedding, their hiding out at the Black household, camping, Godric's Hollow, finding the sword, and the Lovegood's house.
Then the second movie should start with their invasion of Gringott's and then proceed into the huge battle at Hogwarts and then into Harry's "death" and the final battle and then top it off with the epilogue.

Thanks for totally giving it away
Next thing your going to tell me that Kevin Costner is a secret KGB agent, Luke is Leia's brother. Kevin Spacey is Keiser Sousa, and that hot girl last night wasn't your sister.

If I was a wizard I would make it so instead of two movies there would be none…and Harry Potter would not exist but that is just me

Sorry if I upset you, I kind of figured anyone reading this thread would have read the books. I fixed it now.

hmmm...you know...i have always thought that they were taking too long between movies...the formerly known as children actors will be in their early 20s by the time this is done..
having said that...the books are good and the movies are good...but they couldn't have a one hour battle could they?

If this happened I think Daniel Radcliffe would be collecting a pension cheque by the time the second one was done.

Not really. They aren't sitting in a tent talking for 300 pages from what I recall. It's more of a home base they use to do the things that need doing. There isn't much in that book that can be cut out as the tasks and what not they do fill in the back story of the world.
