Even with some disappointing albums, Radiohead is still a great unique band who loves to experiment. They're so much fun to see live and if you can find them, the rare covers and recordings show just how much of an interesting vocalist Thom York really is.
I rank Pablo Honey as their worst. Thom Yorke wanted to be Bono so bad, and it just didn't work. (The album does have its strengths, mind.) After that Hail to the Thief has, after a few years, been exposed for the weak effort that it really was, and I would have difficulty deciding which I think was lamer - that, or Amnesiac, which was essentially a Kid A b-sides compilation. (Don't get me wrong these are all still decent/fantastic records, but compared to some of the band's other work, they fall short)

Kid A was the record that propelled me into some kind of obsession with this band. Got to see them live in 2001 and it was cemented. Kid A is like nothing else I have ever heard. Listen to it with your headphones - it's a trip.

As a rock album OK Computer is hard to beat. The Bends falls just shy.

This new record is also great.

Can't wait to see them this year. In 2001 they played "Nude" which at the time was an unreleased gem they only played every so often (check out the original performance of this song, from a show in San Francisco in 1998, if you can - wow); in 2003, when I saw them again, Michael Stipe from REM came on stage to provide backing vocals for Karma Police. Always an experience (I also snuck in and watched the band soundcheck in 2003).

Pyramid Song is a top 5 Radiohead song IMO.

Kidneythieves - Before I'm Dead

Dark and haunting, hard yet melodic music with sexy female vocals, that's how music is supposed to sound like.

Speaking of Simon and Garfunkel...This is probaby my favorite song of theirs, and certainly one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Best ever? naw...but worthy of mention and sharing.

I was listening to Simon & Garfunkel a few days ago, including that song. I hadn't listened to them for years and I was surprised by how good they still sound. It brought back a lot of powerful memories ...
