Landover Baptist Pastor Preaches To Atheists

**WARNING** Don't watch the video if you're strongly religious and easily offended and/or have no sense of humor. **WARNING**

This is absolutely hilarious.

This guy is almost too good. I thought he was some nut job preacher at first. Hilarious jab at evangelical christians but as I've said before the only people who take the Bible literally are atheists and uneducated evangelicals.

^^

Indeed... I'm Catholic and I don't run around making fun of Athiests or Muslims or Jews or whoever for no apparent reason. In fact, I pretty much keep it to myself unless someone ASKS me about it or the reason I believe something. I just find people like to challenge me or ask me things about my faith without actually wanting to hear an answer. It's really weaksauce.

What is so funny?

People who make fun of others to make themselves feel superior?

Ok...I guess if that's your bag it's funny.

And I'm not overly religious (or religious at all) and I have a great sense of humor.

Yeah, not funny at all.

Your religion, I respect that.

Won't make fun of it though.

Yeah, it's all about respect.

Religious types would never disparage an atheist or mock his beliefs. They'll just say that he is immoral, evil and destined to spend an eternity in some sort of supernatural netherworld.

RESPECT.

Riiiight- actually most legitimately "religious" people believe that God, and only God, has the authority to judge someone's heart. You are referring to self-righteous ###### bags that slander the hell out of said religions to stroke their own ego. If you glance at the Bible... hell, just skim through it, you'll see in about every chapter (or "book") that self righteous people are not on God's good side.

Bah, I don't know why I get in to this on here, I can't stand arguing with people about it.

Well it's good of you not to judge.

Just for interest's sake, how do you judge who is legitimately religious and who is not?

Damn...that was boring. Bring back the church lady for some real humour!

Always wonder why people need to keep poking the ant? A desperate need to re-affirm their self-proclaimed superiority possibly?

I can tell you are trying to be smug here, and I don't know if you actually want an answer or not, but here goes.

I can't judge that with any certainty pertaining to every scenario, but I can observe and develop personal opinions based on whether they actually follow the doctrines of their religion or not.

For examples, some "Christian" people hold signs that say "God hates fags" or whatever. Well, (in Christian doctrine) God doesn't actually hate anyone. They clearly misunderstand or are just plain going against the teachings of Christianity, and therefore in my eyes aren't actually Christian. They might be something else... some other fringe religion based on some confused or mis-construed aspects of Christianity, but they are saying something else.

That's pretty black and white to me.

What I've found is the toughest judge of all is myself, the rest can take care of their own except when they infringe on common sense.

I guess, but flat out mocking all of Christianity instead of just the extremeists just kinda chaps my ass. Religion is a touchy thing, and I just get really fatigued by all the attacks on it I guess.

I sometimes wonder where the line between Freedom of Speach and Hate Literature is.

Who knows. But the next time a religious person suggests I'm going to hell, I'm bringing up this point.
