OHL - Kitchener Rangers - (Love Junior Hockey of any kind)
NHL Flames/Bruins - Interest is waning though and its a close battle now between NHL of any kind and CFL/NFL Football.
CFL/NFL Stamps/Patriots - Love football...Im finding I watch more football than hockey now...could be just the number of games.
Not much else captivates me...I hate NBA although many years ago was an avid Celtics fan the current Hip Hop status of the NBA makes me puke.
Dont get the joy of watching any racing whether its horses/cars or camels. Watching Golf is the best way to have a great afternoon nap.
Soccer or Footy is just ok when its Euro Cup or World Cup time....the rest is just ok and I wont waste a lot of time watching.

1. NHL Habs/Flames - still watch tons of hockey, with the Canadiens on RDS HD every game, it's been a lot of fun this year. Hope the Flames get that treatment sometime soon.
2. MLB Jays - still love baseball, it's a shame they don't have a cap. It's tiresome watching the Wankees and the Sox try to outspend each other each year.
3. NFL Pats - I've been a fan for more than 25 years, it's been a lot of fun to watch the last few seasons. As a bonus, one of my Bell HD channels is out of Boston so I get every game.
I watch a little bit of golf when it's a major, if cycling is on I'll take a look, but that's more of a sport I like to participate in rather than watch. Basketball kills me with its 400 timeouts in the last 3 minutes of the game. It has zero flow to it. Don't give a crap about CFL or soccer.

I hear ya. I have undergone some kind of frontal lobotomy because hockey was all I could think about (when I wasn't thinking about women) for years. Now I really only care about the Flames and where they are compared to EDM and VAN. I no longer go out of my way to watch every game. I missed a whole season being in europe for a year and the game takes here were enough for me.
Maybe it's because I got in to hockey in a different era and I don't like alot of the changes? I don't know but whatever it is, hockey is no longer my #1. I'd watch an NFL game over an NHL game any day of the week and twice on sunday. Haha. Me funny.

I think it was the lockout that started it. I always loved watching Italian, Champions League and English football, but during the lockout, it filled the void and became the #1 passion. Watching the U20 World Cup live effectively killed my desire to watch American football, CFL or NFL. Hockey seems to have lost something to me... I still follow the Flames pretty religiously, but not near to the extent that I used to.

I pay no attention to the NBA, and very little to the NFL and MLB and even less than no attention to college sports.

I wonder if this is what happened to me as well. Ever since the lockout, I have shifted my allegiance from being a walking, talking hockey dictionary to now an NFL one. I always chalked it up to the lockout, as after that I realized that I can survive a winter/spring without the NHL. But maybe it is the new rules. I find myself getting bored alot watching games these days, it doesnt seem to have the same intensity it once did. It's been especially noticeable during the playoffs IMO, which used to be like going to war. Its just not the same anymore.

1. NHL (Flames). I was an avid NHL fan as a kid, but I really stopped watching hockey in the 90s with the lockout and the Jets leaving Winnipeg. Since I moved to Calgary in 2000, I have gradually followed the Flames and the NHL more and more. It is now at the point where I am a season ticket holder and watch nearly every Flames game (even if I am busy, I'll PVR the game and watch it when I get home). I catch a handful of games on the road (last year, I saw Flames games in Edmonton, Chicago, and Minnesota. This year, I'll see them in Anaheim and Phoenix.) Most evenings when there isn't a Flames game, I'll still watch a game on TV, or at least have it on while doing other things.
2. NLL (Roughnecks). I fell in love with this catching the Roughnecks very first game. I have now been a season ticket holder for about four or five years.
3. World Junior Hockey Championship (Canada). This isn't a league, but I watch it every year. It is easily my favourite tournament. The only time I saw this live was when it was in Winnipeg. I'm really hoping that Calgary gets it for 2010 or 2012.
4. FIFA World Cup (Ukraine). I only follow soccer every four years. There is something about watching games at 5AM that is perversely enjoyable.
5. WHL (Hitmen). I catch a game or two every year. I also like checking out Flames prospects on other teams.
6. CFL (Bombers/Stamps). I usually turn it on when it is on TV as I do other things
7. MLB. I barely pay attention to this anymore. It used to battle the NHL for #1 on my list (there were years where I would watch early season baseball over playoff hockey). I stopped watching during the 1994 strike and never got back into it.

I don't understand why somebody would hate or despise a sports league. If you don't like it or it doesn't interest you, don't watch. Unless, somehow, someway, NASCAR, MLB, or the NBA ran off with your girlfriend or something?

It's not that simple. Sometimes news from pro leagues permeates regular news. Kobe Bryant raping chicks, Nascar drivers dying, baseball players jabbing things in eachothers bums, hockey players attempting to kill their agents, football players getting into gunfights at strip bars, basketball players crashing their SUVs while spanking the monkey to a porno flick on their in-car DVD players, ex-football stars slicing and dicing their ex-wives, basketball referees betting on their own games, baseball players going on strike... You see? There are lots of ways and reasons a person can hate a league.
I hate NBA. I hate most of the players with their panchant to being in your face and 'blingy'. If I ever track down Doc Brown, I'm taking the DeLorean back to 1891 to kill James Naismith, the worst canadian in history.

Maybe I just focus on things I'm personally interested in. I watch my NFL highlights on the NFL Network. No talk of any other sports there. I listen to NFL Radio on Sirius, NFL 24/7. I get most of my hockey info from the Fan960 after 3pm. If you watch a Canadian sports network you get all the hockey highlights first then you can change the channel. I don't have a clue what is happening in any other sport. Life is bliss.
