No fair!
NE goes 16-0, and then has to play arguably the 2nd best team in the AFC as a reward? The Colts get the Chargers - easy win.

Jacksonville will be Americas team this week. I don't know about the rest of you? But I am the biggest Jacksonville Jaguars fan right now. Well, untill this time next week at least. Go Jags!

Jacksonville is the hottest team right now.
And as much criticism as Norv Turner gets, he now has more playoff wins in SD than Schottenheimer did.
The Colts had a better defense than the Pats this year.
And the Pats are the Pats. Probably the best offense in the last couple decades, veteran team that knows how to win.
The AFC is just going to murder each other over the next 2 weeks.

Utter BS. Indianapolis trounced Jacksonville at home and than beat them at home with an injury depleted roster.
Indy is the AFC's second best team bar none, their 2 head to head wins over Jacksonville say so or else the Jags would have won the division.
Than again, you being you.....You'd complain about the same thing if the Jags had won the South and the Colts were playing the Pats this weekend.

SD made such a bad decision to go with Rivers over Brees and then choosing Turner to replace Schottenheimer. They are totally wasting having a great defense and LT by both those decisions.

Riiiight. You could care less whether the Colts win as long as someone beats NE..? So you're not a fan of IND, you're a fan of anyone but NE? OK.
NE haters like you are too funny. Do me a little favor and recap why you hate NE so much, please? I'm sure it's in the other thread but that thread is pretty long.

I have mentioned numerous times that I am a fan of the Detroit Lions. Yes I am a fan of anyone but NE this year. Most years I still hate them but this year I especially would like to see them lose. It is possible to not like the Patroits and not be a fan of the Colts. I would actually prefer to see SD come out of the AFC out of all the teams.
I have disliked them since they lucked out against the Rams for their first Super Bowl. This year I particularly dislike them because of the cheating, Belichek, the constant media BS, Randy Moss and most of all their fans, particularly the "new' fans.

Being me? Nice.
I should have qualified my statement - I only think JAC is better if IND (understand "arguably"?) is not 100% healthy (which is uncertain). JAC is certainly better than SD, and I won't be surprised at all if JAC beats NE. IND has the easier game, no question.
The "no fair" was a joke. Again, lighten up dude.

I must be confusing you with someone else. I thought you were a hardcore Colts fan.
Oh and nobody "lucks out" to win a SB. Not even Pittsburgh.

I think he really is. He keeps saying he is a Detroit fan. But he definately loves to talk about Indy.

Predictions:
AFC:
Jacksonville 24 @ New England 31
Jaguars will make a game of it and will cause NE some problems but the Patriots offense at the end of the day will lead them to a 7 point victory. Brady and Moss have big games for the Pats combining for 2 TD's. Jags really need to use their running game this week (Taylor and Jones-Drew) to win.
San Diego 21 @ Indianapolis 31
Colts offense is too much for the Chargers this week. I see a big game from Manning and it will be interesting to see how Harrison is in his return this week. Chargers Pro bowl TE Antonio Gates is expected to be out after getting hurt yesterday vs the Titans. Colts need to limit LT's rushes. SD's best chance of winning is using LT a lot.
NFC:
Seattle 17 @ Green Bay 27
Seattle had a good year but GB is the better team. Favre wins this matchup vs his old coach Holmgren. I'd love to see this game go to OT though. Hasselback's "we want the ball and we're gonna score" was interesting in 2004.
NY Giants 24 @ Dallas 31
Cowboys have already won twice this year vs the Giants and I don't see why it won't be a 3rd time. The Giants are playing good football right now but I don't see the Cowboys losing at home this week. (Interesting to see if Owens is in for the Cowboys). If he is out then that increases the Giants chances of winning.
GO COLTS!

I tend to agree with your picks except I can see the Giants upsetting the Cowboys, let's do up a Manning Superbowl Showdown!

I think all 4 bye teams go to the Conference finals. That will be round 4 for the Colts and Patriots I think 4 of the last 5 AFC title games if it goes through.

Neil talks about the colts a lot. I occasionally have talked about Manning and the Colts mainly in relation to the pats. Trust as a Lions fan nobody would pretend to be one if they weren't.
As for the games this week I think that the Pats and Colts are going to be too much for the Jags and Bolts. the visiting teams would need to play flawless and get a score either defensively or on SP just to have a chance. I don't think either QB will be able to make the big plays to get the upset and we will see a great AFC Championship game (likely the real SB again) in two weeks time.
I think the Cowboys will whip the Giants again and that GB will sneak by the Seahawks. Seattle seems to have got nothing but worse and more inconsistent since the SB loss to Pitt. If this was in Seattle they may have a chance but in GB I just don't see them beating the Packers who seem to have a little more quality to their smoke and mirrors act this year. The following week they will get killed but for one more week Brett Favre gets to act like he is good again.

Damn straight! Lets talk about the Colts some more! LETS GO COLTS!!
I honestly think these two AFC games will be closer then people think. Jacksonville and San Diego are both good teams and I don't see a blowout in either game. With that being said, NE and IND are a step above either of those teams and will win (although from the 8 teams remaining, I do think Jacksonville is the 3rd best team left).

What is the word on TO? If he is not in the line-up NYG wins...

Sad to say but I think your right. I really hope the Jags can pull the upset though. Or at least really soften the Pats up for the Colts the following weekend.
