My condolences. Being able to catch up on my gaming is about the only good thing this strike has done for me.

I guess I don't watch as much television as I used to, because I have barely noticed this strike.

I'm glad filming of The Wire was wrapped up before this strike began. The new season starts on Sunday.
I was also happy to learn from the article above that The Shield is also done filming (the season starts airing in April).

x2. Actually I'm really enjoying the strike so far, as on Leno/Letterman/Conan they just keep replaying the "Best Of" episodes. There's absolute classics on almost nightly.

Leno and Letterman are back on the air. New shows started last night. Letterman has his writers back as he did a deal the WGA but Leno doesn't have a deal. It has something to do with Letterman show being produced by his own company and Leno's is under NBC.

Thank you for that, love The Wire and The Shield.
Anyone know what the status of Life and Journeyman are?

Conan is back on the air too... sporting a new beard. It's odd.

I guess I'm lucky ... I don't watch TV unless the Flames are playing. I haven't followed any TV series since the '90s, and even then there was only a few shows I followed. I got to the point where I found pretty much all programming inane and just tuned out.

Celebrity Apprentice started on Thursday, anyone into this? No Rosie, unfortunately, and the hottest contestant gets fired in episode one, but should be interesting to watch these b-listers go for each other's throats.

Is Stephen Baldwin involved in this? I am pretty sure he has been in every celebrity reality show ever made...

There is indeed a Baldwin, not sure which one though.

I need to check out The Wire. I've heard that singer Steve Earle is a part of the cast. Does he have much of a role?

If there really is a Baldwin in it, I would wager that it's Stephen.

Right you are! He's slicking his hair back now, but he still looks like a chump.
There's also a lot of the butterfaced women who surfaced in the Athlete's Wives thread, as well as Gene Simmons who didn't take off his sunglasses during the entire first episode.
Gonna be a gooder.

It's a small recurring role as a recovering addicting, which I suppose is appropriate.
It's one of the best written shows on tv though. Watch a couple episodes of season 1 back-to-back and you'll be hooked.

Which is great news - Stephen Baldwin is hilarious in these things. He and Omarosa had a pretty good back and forth.

He's good for them because he is super competitive. I only saw him in Fear Factor but he was in everyones face, ragging on anyone if they said they were afraid to do something. Definitely gotta be good for the shows appeal.

I've been meaning to watch the Wire. The video store in my hood is missing disc 1 of season 1, for the past month or so. will need to expand my horizons for a video store I guess. Really annoying, since it is the only DVD in the series missing.

Haha yeah I saw that, as soon as I saw him I started laughing my ass off. I love it! You can tell Conan's really working hard to overcome their lack of writers, he's been bouncing off the walls in the couple shows I've seen since he's been back on the air. I think he's been hilarious.
