Custody dispute erupts, Britney Spears taken to hospital on stretcher
I feel so dirty for posting this, because this really hits the "who the hell cares" category, but the most searched individual is still making the news in a negative fashion.
Its under: "Breaking news" on the top of CNN.com.
Post a better link when it's up.
I feel so dirty. Someone scrub me down.
Edit: awwwww lame.

Nothing to see here folks. Sorry to waste your time.

I think everyone needs to be careful, but how long before rumours of a suicide attempt prop up?

It keeps getting crazier and crazier with her. She's rapidly approaching a Michael Jackson level of weirdness...

Do you want to start a "Britney Spears death watch... win a free IPOD!" website or should I?

And I can't believe Britney's Mom's book on parenting was delayed indefinitely. Where's the justice?

I just watched Anderson Cooper 360 and apprently its really bad, the doctors have forced her into 72 hour lock down against her will, apparently which is used only for patients with severe mental illness ( substance abuse will not warrant a lockdown). Legally people can only be held involuntarily like this when they are an immediate threat to others or themselves. They had restraints on her legs and when the police had found her she had locked herself and her son in the closet- apparently the doctor on the show says with these types of illnesses there is only a 50% survival rate.People need to start praying for her- another expert said that unless he gets help he seriously doubts she will be alive next year. Leave the girl alone

CNN: "Britney Spears will not be with us one year from now"
I just saw this on headline prime and was really shocked to hear this. They say that Britney Spears has passed drug and alcohol tests so her problem is likely a severe mental disorder and that if no one helps her she will die. Also, I find it very cryptic to hear "experts" predicting someones death.

Its easy to be critical but the girl is in serious trouble- this isn't the same as the Paris Hilaton type situation

sorry Fotze I misunderstood- I watched this Bio about her -the girl was working 10 hour days as a child, her mom even said she had to force Britney to wear her "cute little outfits" and perform where she would rather wear jeans and play basketball. at age 15 she was on the cover of Rolling stone hallf naked and posing suggestively- AGE 15! and they also showed her "reality show" and the girl was so obviously lonely. I just feel really bad for her

I think its amazingly sad what has happened to this girl, and also amazingly sad that people eat this up as entertainment. The same people who built her up as a star are now tearing her down, and in the worst possible way. She needs real professional help and the media (and people who buy trash media) need to give her some breathing room to get her life back on track.

I've always felt pretty bad for her.
Its been obvious that something has been terribly wrong with her for a while. Its not like she had a stable influence around her, the drug and alcohol and bad choices just screams volumes that as long as the big checks come in and her mother got her share she wasn't going to be helped.
In the new years prediction thread, I predicted Spears wouldn't live through this year, and I don't think I did it in jest.
Someone here said she's probably pretty lonely, and I agree with this, I also thing that she's also increasingly paranoid. To her, her husband is out to get her and take her kids, she probably suspects her family is out to get her.
Hopefully she gets some serious help and some stability. The smart thing for her would be to sell everything, and change her appearance and get away from the hollywood lifestyle. and get away from the pressure pack situation thats she been in since she was 8.
Actually this is really sad.

One wonders if she would have been trailer trash without celebrity or if this truly is a case where celebrity destroyed someone.
She wouldn't have been the first person with ZERO MONEY AND FAME to lead a self-destructive lifestyle
Still, the choices were all hers, every step of the way.

I feel sorry for the girl. Some people just have so much crap to deal with. I hope she gets the help that she needs so dearly.

From what I understand, one of the big triggers for mental illness to really manifest itself is stress, the other is unusual social circumstances.
She's had a mitt load of both of those things.
However living poor in a trailer in the ozarks has its own level of stresses. Its just that nobody would have cared when she put the gun in her mouth and pulled the trigger.
Here if she does do something destructive to herself or others, will be the biggest news day and revenue day in American history.

I'm sure you saw the video....did they need 20 cops, 10 paramedics and 10 firefighters to come to her house??? Then to top it off those low life papparazzi have the nerve to continue taking pictures of her in the ambulance and then are banging on the ambulance doors. Then the media is now camped outside the hospital where she is in "lock down" according to CNN.
First of all thank god she's an American! Bottom line the U.S. has the worst economy it's had it 20 plus years (some political analyst are calling it another great depression), housing are being forclosed every second, there young people are being killed daily in the war in Iraq, they can't find Osama Bin Laden, there was no weapons of mass destruction, there president is one of the worst in there history so instead of living in reality Americans focus on Britney Spears as there lead news on NBC, CNN etc. to make them feel better about themselves. Way to go America.
