Is this the truth? I honestly don't understand some guys. I'd be intimidated as hell by a girl who knew more about hockey than me, but I think that'd be hard since I am on CP so much.
But I suggest that you find a guy who doesn't care about hockey, or is just as knowledgeable as you, so that it's a good match that way!

I love that my fiancée can talk sports with me. We go to Flames games together, and she's a big NFL fan (unfortunately, a big Patriots fan).
A guy calling a girl butch for knowing a lot about sports is dealing with many insecurity issues, so it's really his loss.

As far as I'm concerned thats a fabulous trait.. So many bobbleheads dont know a damn thing about sports.. I recently dated a girl who didnt know who Iggy was... YIKES!!

Another perpetually single gal from CP. My dad tells me all the time that guys don't like girls who know more about sports than them. I don't think I know more about sports than most guys, but I can be a little intense while watching games. Lots of swearing and angry muttering to myself and sometimes the need to throw things. I think that's what is more intimidating about me than knowing lots about sports.

What about smoking?
I think smoking is gross, but on the other hand, if a girl is willing to suck on something that gives her bad breath, stains her teeth and fingers, and ultimately kills her, then that means there's hope for me.
But you're right: even ogre-broads can be do-able if they're not also nasty of personality.

Since you mentioned this...
I guess it is apparently intimidating, or so I was told just recently. So, apparently, as single girls who enjoy hockey, we shouldn't talk about the things we enjoy, according to him. Instead, we should just listen to guys talk about the things they like and we should nod our heads and smile. He even had the audacity to tell me that females are not welcome at sporting events unless they look hot and are blond.
It was such a brutal conversation. I wish I had a drink in my hand so I could've poured it on him.
In the past, I've met guys who like talking about hockey with me and others who just run the other way. What gives?

Smoking is a hot button topic when it comes to the list I for one am like you, its gross I could see a girl I think is very attractive but the second she lights up she is a bucket of yuck
But then of course smokers themselves usually don’t have a big problem I for one think smoking should make the list

Girls swearing isnt that bad... I do plenty myself.. I love girls who are passionate about something.. I'm sick of all these girls who can't distinguish themselves from the rest of the sheep.. Some guys just hate the fact they know less about something than someone else, reeks of insecurity.. If they hate the fact you love hockey and know more than them about it, well thats their loss..
