I use to do the same thing and one thing that has helped me is when I make dinner I will make enough for an extra portion and bring it to work. It sometimes sucks eatting the same thing twice in two days but its beetter than McDonalds or A&W

Do new year's resolutions ever work?

I guess to just continue what I've been doing with getting into shape. Christmas has been tough, haven't gained anything but the loss has stopped as well with all the special dinners and stuff.

Only five, eh? What's it like to be so normal?

Mine is to get out and do as many new things as possible. Basically, to go live life. Seemed about time to try this living thing everyone else says is great.

I don't think so.

But it can never hurt to try. I think it's a good time to rebound from the Christmas lull. But, anything more than that requires a lot of hard work that usually takes a lot more commitment than setting goals because of an arbitrary date.

Not always. Guess that means I won't be retiring anytime soon

Anyone have the lucky numbers to this weeks 6/49?

Well, didn't want to overwhelm myself and hit them all at once. I think groups of 5 are manageable.

Lots of you want to lose weight, I'll take it. I could use some more weight.

Never thought of a news year resolution till this thread. Guess mine will be to start seriously saving for a down payment on a condo. Some other minor resolutions can be to practice/learn guitar more, get out and take some photographs, and do more exercise.

I'm getting married in 2008, so my real goal is to better manage my time and finances.

Also, I will be pointing out more grammatical and spelling errors on message boards.

Everyone wants to get into shape. I guess I should add that to my list too.

Don't do new years resolutions but these are a few things I want to do this year:
1) Pay off my debt
2) Sell my condo / buy a townhouse or house
3) Increase my bankroll

Would like to shed about 15-20 pounds. Finding it hard after having knee surgery in March - just got thumb's up to use the ellipitical again about a month ago but even then can only go about 10 minutes before my knee is done - need to work my way back up slowly and establish a new routine.

I've gotta drop the cigar/colts habit. I quit smoking last New Years day and haven't touched a cigarette since that day. For some reason I have started puffing on Colts over the last two months. It started as once in a blue moon and now I'm smoking a few a day. Very pissed at myself (I inhale sometimes) but it shouldn't be too hard to kick these things. Cigarettes were a friggin' nightmare to quit.

First one is to go back to school! Been needing to do that for a while. My second one is to start keeping better track of my money. It's not that I wonder where my money goes or can't save up. I just don't keep track of my spendings outside of the monthly transaction sheet I get from the bank and with all the fraud going on now a days it seems like the thing to do.

Just to be different: start smoking, drink more, put all my money into fighting and put on 20 pounds.

It's gonna be a helluva 2008!
