Default resorts in Saskatchewan?

Im looking for a lodge or something similar somewhere in Saskatchewan to get away to for a couple of days. Anyone recommend anything worthwhile thats an easy drive from Calgary? Just looking for something that would ideally have a fireplace and jacuzi in the room.

This might not be quite what you had in mind; no jacuzzi......

but it is my brother's place ......

http://www.shadyvaleresort.com/

We spent a few days there in the summer, after our wedding. It was perfect, very peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

I know they are busy, because my bro won't be home for Christmas because they are booked up....

Shadyvale? As in the opposite of Sunnyvale? The jacuzzi doesnt happen to be in the back of a pickup truck does it?

Shadyvale sounds like a resort straight out of a Stephen King novel...

They just recently took it over, that was the name it came with.

No, I didn't. But I should have, given my husband subjects me to watching it occasionally....

I'm back in SK right now for the holidays, if I had to move back here I would slit my throat.

Go to BC.

You could always go to Maple Creek. Its right on the Sask/Alta border off the trans-canada.

You'll know your close when you're enjoying your drive on a nice, flat, finely paved road, then you;ll hit saskatchewan, and it'll feel like your on a gravel road up on the oil patch.

Problem with a lot of resorts in Saskatchewan is they are for 4 months during the summertime only.

Nice call, Jayems, Maple Creek is where I live. As for the roads, they don't get bad till you reach Gull Lake, and that is as close to Regina that I want to get anyways. I was just going to mention Cypress Hills Park Resourt INN. Beautiful area, we locals take it for granted, and lots to do.
