well i know my limits. I married a girl from calgary ( i know smart move huh) and im originally from oklahoma. One of the guidelines for marrying a canadian is learning to play hockey i guess. I love the game ( i have only watched it for a year, i watched my first hockey last new years eve in the saddledome and have been hooked since) but i have realized just how i grew up with a baseball bat in my hand , most young ones in canada grow up with skates on their feet. SO starting to skate at 25 is a challenge, im athletic enough to keep balance its just speed and skating backwards, not to mention i never knew skates hurt your feet so bad. I wont be falling down i just wont be moving as quick as everyone else. lol
foofighter i already found one of those jerks ^^^^^^

Hahaha nice. Seriously nickerjones youll be fine, dont even worry about it. Some games can get a little intense but for the most part its all in good fun, there's always a few guys who arent that strong on their skates out there. It's not even worth giving these worries the time of day, its a non-issue.
But if you really are concerned about it, the chances of running into one of these intense games are greater at night, especially late at night. So if you are worried about it, go earlier in the day. Especially on the weekend, when you're guaranteed a big turnout. Youll have a great time.

No need to be Pc around me... i find it humorous that people will celebrate the holiday but wont call it Christmas. What are they celebrating for if not the birth of Christ??

I would be up for CP shinny some time... as long as you guys are ok with people who are terrible. I am just an expert at watching and criticizing the Flames, not imitating them!

I just started playing Goal in September and have actually never played hockey prior in my life. I would love to be able to come out and have some people humiliate me thoroughly. I am in Calgary until Jan 3rd when I go back to Victoria. I have been looking for some times to get some practice. Not sure where to go for ice though. I live by the Shaganapi Golf Course.
