Buddy had tuna subs from Subway a lot. One day of cat food and no one touched it again.

I agree. A pizza box not labelled just screams out "for everybody!", I could even see myself making that mistake. As for personal lunchbags though, I can't stand that. Even if you don't label it, a lunchbag is clearly for someone, I would flip out if someone took something out of mine, I can't even imagine doing that to someone else.
Last summer my entire lunchbag went missing, and I seriously confronted everyone on our staff(only 6 of us) about who took it, until I realized that I had just forgotten to put it in the fridge that morning and it was sitting on a shelf next to it haha. Still, I think people realized after that not to mess with my lunch

I used to work with a lady who used to go into the fridge and snoop in everyone's lunch bags to see what they had. She didn't actually steal stuff that I'm aware of, but people would always catch her doing it.
We also hated eating around her because she would stare at people when they ate. She was a pretty overweight compulsive eater who was always dieting, and it seemed like she was trying to eat vicariously through others.

unmarked large Pizza box is fair game, touching a co-worker's lunchbag though is definitely ######bag territory.

Oh my God that's funny!
Reminds me of the Friends episode with Ross, when his boss ate his sandwich.

I had someone steal my lunch a couple years ago at a part time job. It's a great way to turn an already bad day into a terrible one.

Especially if you don't have any cash on you. I've been there before.

I dont know what the big deal of "lunch thievery" is
"boo hoo, I lost my unmarked lunch..."
try leaving a $20 bill on your desk and see if anyone takes it

"Lunch opportunist" is a more suitable title

I'd like give a lunch opportunist an opportunity to try this:

Pure Cap is pure capsaicin extract with a little extender added so it doesn't self combust. As with the Special Reserve, we require a signed Waiver before selling Pure Cap and it must be used as an ingredient.

I can't tell if you're joking or not(although I'm thinking you are). I just can't understand that mentality, eating someone else's lunch would seriously never even enter into my head. If I found out who it was that was habitually eating lunches, I don't even think I'd eat theirs. Instead, I'd probably just grab their lunch, step on all of it and then put it back in the fridge. I'd keep this practice up daily for an indetermined period of time.

Better option. Squirt a little donair sauce all over the inside of the bag. The offender would probably have no idea what the thick off-white liquid really is. But if he gets any on his hands he'll probably want to get it off ASAP.

For my birthday, my boss threw a little surprise party for me with some of the other staff, and they gave me a big cake. There was still some left after, so I put it in the fridge. I thought it would be safe since I would be leaving pretty soon anyways... but when I came back to get it half an hour later, the entire thing was gone... and someone left the box full of crumbs in the fridge!

Hahaha thatd be classic! However, if I actually saw him happily eating that same lunch in the lunchroom later, I think I'd steer clear from him for good, as thats one sick SOB.
And Enthused, about your last post, that sucks man. But unfortunately cake falls into the same category as pizza, where people will just assume its a communal thing for everyone to pick at. Sack lunches shouldnt need to be labelled. Pizzas, cakes, etc need to be.
