Anyone else done? Had my last final yesterday morning, how sweet it is!! Only I didnt get to do my generic "get absolutely hammed at the campus bar after my last final exam" celebration. Usually my exams don't start until near the end of the sked, so theres always someone to go git er done with. But this year all of em were within the first two days of finals. None of my buddies are done yet, so no one to drink with .
I think I'm just gonna go down with em on Monday when they're done and tie one on at the RATT(UofA bar). I'll be foolish myself, but no one else has to know...

I have a take home exam due on Friday, can't get up the motivation to do it. Probably just get drunk tonight instead. "The Good Times are Killing Me"

That's because it is crack.

I have 1 more left. But it's on Tues and I'm not even thinking about it. God, students are the greatest procrastinators in the world.

And one more thing. For anyone who wrote Bota 303 at 8 this morning, I am so freaking sorry. I did my best to suppress the coughing.

Did they let you have some water at your desk this time?
2 finals left. I am beginning to see why courses last 3+ months. A day isn't long enough to learn all the material.

I had a classic final exam today. Teacher did not have enough exams so he had to rush off to the copy centre, which delays the exam for half an hour. Then he played with the lights turning them all off and then on and then off and then on, over and over again for a few minutes while we were trying to write. Finally, he resorted to manually removing light bulbs in the lecture theatre. Being at the UofC for 5 years, I've had many a test, this was by far the most bizarre.

They did let me have water, which really helped. I agree with STeeLy, 1 day may not be enough to learn the entire course, but it's enough for you to learn the key points to pass.

Who was this? Literally sounds like an Arky prof I had years passed. Although my prof was female. She came into the exam late, then had issues passing out the exams to the students as she counted wrong for each row. (Probably would have been easier just to give us the entire stack and just take one and pass it down) Then she decides that the lights are too bright in the exam room, and proceeds to dim the lights, but does it too far and plays with the lights for the next 60 seconds as we all sit there going WTF?

Quite true. But I'm seeing if I can learn enough in order to get an A.

Haha I dont think cramming and "hoping to get an A" should be in the same sentence. I'm a serious procrastinator, and as much as I'd love to get A's, I'm quite content with a B or B+.

Depends on the class....I'm "cramming" for Geology and I'm hoping to get an A+ or at the very least an A

So the registrar seriously ed me over this year. I have 5 exams and finish on Friday.
Started nice and early last saturday (MUHL 281), hard one on tuesday (MGIS 317), two on thursday (HROD 317 & GLGY 209) with only an hour break between them (no last minute cramming time) and then my last on friday (STAT 217) which I get a grand total of thursday night to study for.
On a scale of 1-10, my stress level is about 50 right now. Going to bed at 2 and waking up at 7 to do some last minute review before hrod...then I get an hour to cram for glgy (which normally should be an easy A if I had a normal amount of time to prepare), and as soon as it is over I get to start frantically studying for stats.

Pardon my ignorance, but could you not have studied the few weeks prior to the week of finals? Or at least kept up with the material so the "cramming" would just be a simple review of "I know this aleady"?
I know I left everything until the last minute as well, but I don't blame it on the registrar

All I know is that for me. Usually the last 2 weeks of class are reserved for papers, end of term projects and final lab papers. So there isn't much time for studying for finals because all of them always seem to be due then. This semester in the last 2 weeks, I had 2 papers due, 3 lab reports, and a term project due.

For all those students...don't you think a little tiny "study break" at the end of the semester would be useful? Have a standard of all papers, projects, etc. due on Friday, and maybe exams don't start until the next Thursday, giving 3 days of study time.
I consider myself a fairly smart guy, but with 5 classes the semester just flies by and before I know it, I have 5 final exams. I think I would make use of an extra day or two of study time. Though, I'm sure, some would waste it. What do you think?
1 more to go...Natural Disasters. I know there is at least one other CPer taking it (I saw you browsing CP during class on your laptop!)

To even have an extra day would help. Like have everything done by Thursday, then no class on Friday, and exams start Monday. All I know is that there never seems to be enough time.
