Easiest thing to do is to draw a store/place out of a hat and do all your Christmas shopping at that store/place.

Here's a list:
Walmart
Calgary BMW
Petland

Try Bulk Barn or Natural Food Pantry.

Some other options might be the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory in the Byward Market (http://www.rmcf.com/cp/shop/sf/sf.asp?) or Louise's Belgian Chocolates in Bell's Corners (http://www.louisesbelgianchocs.com/)

I'm not quite sure if these come in after shave, but usually you can get the same scents in after shave that they make in colognes.
Swiss Army is nice
Cool Water is also very nice.

Wife pushed out a baby this year, so she gets a much deserved "Gucci Signoria" watch for x-mas

As an aside: I really wish I hadn't just seen the prices you can get it for online vs. what I paid for it in store.

What does she get for taking out the garbage?

Hi all, just want to bump this thread as xmas is fast approaching
right now still scrambling to find and finish finding all the xmas presents for my family and friends, and every year I thought it can't get more expensive, and it still does! every year seems to be more expensive.. sigh.

well back to topic.. I am currently hunting for a dvd recorder, around the price range of $150. There are some on sale right now at Futureshop and Bestbuy. Anyone has experience with the LG and Samsung ones? if so, are they good? (does it matter if it is cable or satellite? and I've read somewhere some recorders do not have timer function on them, or it doesn't perfectly work with a satellite signal?)

I never had any experience with a dvd recorder before. Still using the old school VHS, so any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!!

One more thing, is it worth the trip to Costco and hunt for the recorder? Costco always seem to have good deals and wide selection.

Well it's the 20th, time to start thinking about x-mas and x-mas presents...
Still no ideas for the mom...
My dad lives in van, is there a nice restaurant that someone wouldnt typically goto that I could get a certificate for here in calgary? (either they have the same restaurant here, or they would ship it to me here so I could give it to him)
What about the brother and his wife?

Anyone know a good place to get a blender?

Or, for that matter, some recommendations on a quality blender?

Vita-mix. It's the only blender you'll ever need.

I would be very happy if Santa brought me one.

$450+ seems a little steep.

Their website says it's only available in the US anyways...

Alright CP... $30 gift for a gift exchange. Best gift wins a prize. I can be hilarious, or just plain awesome. Help!

You can get a better deal on eBay for them. They also have kiosks setup at Costco on rare occasions.
