I'm just debating this so here goes.

I can see that if you're 8 - 12 years old. Kind of like myself when I went and watched Marino throw all over Jim Kelly, Thomas and his Jills at Ralph Wilson stadium.

I don't care where they come from but the new fans that start to talk trash is what really bothers me. It's like excuse me where were u in the dog days. Oh thats right you cheered for the Bills and the Cowboys in the 90's. I've had that argument with people before.

I'm just curious how people out west here became Patsie fans, the only ones that I can see being true patsie fans that live out west are from the maritimes/NF. Me coming from Southern Ontario I saw a ton of Jills and fins games at Ralph "HOLE" Stadium

Just my two cents.

The 3rd, I've been out for a while, but I've got this week won and am knocking someone else out of the playoffs.

Well, time to just enjoy games until next year.

I'm loving the Pats this year, they are truly a beauty to watch. As I've stated before, I don't have a team, I like players and stories, I bought a Brady jersey, but in my closet I also have a Plummer Cards jersey, Tim Couch Cleveland Browns jersey, and of course my favorite player of all time Doug Flutie Bills Jersey. (they are old). If I can get a good deal off Ebay I'm looking for a Braylon Edwards jersey and a Barry Sanders Retro jersey.

I'm not going to live and die by these football teams the way I do the flames, but I also don't "talk trash" about how good the Pats are either...I've been cheering for them since their first championship? Does that make me a bandwagonner? Maybe...but who cares, do I have to like the seahawks because I live out here? I sure hope not because watching them is like watching paint dry.

Now this may not apply but I only know of one true Patsie fan, the rest all became fans recently, this is the same for the Colts!!!

Funny you should say that... I was just driving home and I wondered if there'd be a comment like this. When I was in high school, one xmas I got a Chicago White Sox t-shirt. I was wearing it one day at school and a kid walked up to me and asked me to name 2 players from the team. I couldn't.

As for the Pats, I jumped on their bandwagon when Brady became the youngest QB to win the superbowl. So it hasn't been years and years like T-man and Habby? or whoever else commented that they're been longtime fans. But someone made a good comment about it taking something extraordinary for fans outside a given city to start following a particular team.

As a Canadian that much prefers and really quite enjoys American football, I've got to pick a team. I'm actually a fan of three teams: Seattle, Green Bay and of course New England. I also have soft spots for KC and NO.

Ive been a Pats fan since about 1967 or 68. To make a long story short(er) I was simply a fan of all teams Boston. I was born in Saskatoon but hated following the Laffs or Canadiens. I followed the Bruins first, Red Sox, Celtics and "the Boston Patriots" of the American Football League. (They actually changed name to Bay State Patriots from Boston...and then New England shortly after)
There were a LOT of lean years following the Patsies...but not anymore. These are the candy years for me...I now work for a Boston company that names its main boardrooms after all of the parks & arenas for the Boston area teams...its almost like Valhalla!

Sure was a treat to watch the Packers play a completely balanced game yesterday after the Dallas debacle.

Favre only puts up 23 passes in total but still goes for 260+ and a couple TD's. Ryan Grant runs all over the Raiders D and has now rushed for more yards than any other RB in the NFL since week 8. They scored on special teams....twice. Held the Raiders O to under 150 yds passing and under 100 yds rushing. Complete and utter domination by the youngest team in the league.

I hope they get a rematch with the Cowboys in about 6 weeks.

The present and the future are very bright for the leagues most storied franchise.

Well save the NFC South all the Divisions in the NFC are now clinched, and the Giants pretty much have all but locked the #5 seed Wild Card berth. The only competition left is for one of Detroit, Arizona, Washington, and maybe New Orleans to try and catch the Vikings. In the AFC it's pretty much one open spot left where the pack will try to catch the Browns. I guess crazier things can happen, but I think the teams who currently hold playoff spots won't be giving them up this year. So it really took 13 weeks this year to determine who the 12 playoff teams are, and more or less where they'll all finish.

I think it's just a simple fact that the NFL has become 2, 3 or even 10 times more popular in the last 5 years or so. And in those 5 years New England and Indy happen to be the 2 best teams so new fans will jump on them. Location doesn't matter since everything in on TV. New fans can talk trash too which makes the sport more and more popular so don't shut them out. Sometimes us older fans get caught living in the past. Just like a 2004 Flames fan is just as important as a 1989 flames fan. Just because you've cheered longer doesn't make you more of a expert.

I've been a Cowboys fan since the Aikman years. It's been pretty bad the last 10 years or so but there's hope this year! And if they make it far this year, they'll get a bunch of new fans! Same goes for Green Bay.

I get people that don't know me calling me a band wagon Chiefs fans in the handfull of years that they had a good regular season. Somebody will come into my office and go "why are jumping on the Chiefs bandwagon?" (I have Chiefs stuff all over everything I own). I just laugh it off since people that know me, know I eat, drink, and sleep Chiefs football. Not much to be proud of this year. But I still wore my NFL Equipment Kansas City Chiefs shirt and shorts to the gym this morning.

I got annoyed with NFLShop since they wouldn't ship to Canada any of the stuff I wanted, and I couldn't find the same thing north of the border. Oh well, more money in my bank account.

I was waiting for this kind of game from the Cowboys. There had to be some kind of emotional let down and I was pleasantly surprised they came back to win in a game they took lightly. Phillips can use that to crack the whip for the next game!!!

My brother lives 5 minutes across the line. I just ship to his house and pick it up at my convenience.

Too little, too late for the Broncos, but they sure looked freaking awesome in all 3 facets of the game yesterday. Yeah, it was against a beat up Chiefs team quickly running out of things to play for, but I'm still going to look at that game as the turning point for this very young team.

Cutler was perfect. Brandon Marshall is a monster. Elvis Dumervil will be mentioned in the same breath as Dwight Freeney next season. Selvin Young is making Travis Henry look like the waste of money he is. The defense finally showed up and played a complete game allowing first downs on only 2 series on the day. It was very fun to watch as a Broncos fan.

I think the future is bright in Denver and they could be scary good next season.

Really, I do 2 or 3 orders a year and have never had a problem.

Man Jason David sucks. He is the worst FA pickup in the offseason. A cover 2 zone CB now forced into a M2M scheme. eesh.

The Saints have made a few bad moves going into 07, maybe now they'll finally draft a CB in the first round. I remember them passing on Trufant to get a average at best DT about 4 years ago.

Last week I had the highest score with 111. This week the LOWEST score was 117. I've never picked a perfect week before, so it isn't like that is going to happen again. With 3 weeks left there is PLENTY of time for me to overthink every game and finish up in my usual middle of the pack spot.

The funny thing is that I didn't like the week very much when I was making my picks. Yet we all seemed to pick the same teams to win.

Seems likely. Will it all be academic though? Are NE, IND and DAL going to dominate the Superbowl for the next 5 years?

I think CLE can be a contender in 2-3 years if they improve the defence. Who else is on the way up?
