Only dates that would really work are March 26 or March 31 due to the Flames sched. Maybe they'll come as part of Virgin Festival?

The lack of a Calgary show is interesting. It was well attended last time. Must have something to do with the dome sched?
I've read some tours are skipping Calgary now because of the awkward building shape. I guess the dome can't accomodate some stages.

Foofighter15, your post cracked me up.

I haven't really listened to them in years, but I know I have to go to this show. Got floor tickets.

This wouldn't be the first time the Foo Fighters have snubbed Calgary on a Western Canadian tour leg. I recall a few years back the Foo playing in Coilerland and not Calgary (and then next time round, when they actually came here, I was on holiday).

Only time I ever saw this band was at the Summersault festival in 2000, in... you guessed it, Edmonton.

BTW
the new album has been nominated for Album Of The Year at the Grammy's. Pretty cool for the band.

Foo Fighters are an awesome live band. I actually wasn't a big fan of them until I saw them live. They're the real deal... what you hear on the album is what you hear live (except with more energy). Dave Grohl is an excellent showman as well.

You're right about that. He's very charismatic. I remember back when Craig Kilborn was still on, he'd have Dave as a guest every so often (sometimes not even to sing! - although I do recall one classic appearance where Dave played Stairway to Heaven and sang the guitar solo, it was ace), and the guy cracked me up. He'd sit there smacking his gum and he played very well off of Craig's jokes.

Here's another good Grohl/Kilborne moment

Anyone have the audio of Dave doing "With Arms Wide Open"?
It's hilarious.

Haha, that's rad- no commentary, no input, no constructive addition to the topic whatsoever- but all the same, your input was critical.

I'm going... I don't care how... I don't care when... I have to be there.

I regret not seeing Nirvana live, and I'll be damned if I miss Foo...

That was 2003 tour I believe. It was during Stampede week and there were just no venues open in Calgary. Anyway, that show in Edmonton was one for the ages. Probably the best rock show I've ever seen. Shaw conference centre is a great place to watch a band.

Dave said at that show that he loved the hats.
