It's not like he consistently misses extra points. Every kicker misses one once in awhile - it happens.

The point I was trying to make is that he missed an extra point which had a huge impact on the outcome and he got a chance for to redeem himself and missed it. Granted it was a 54 yarder, but kickers are making those kinds of kicks in pressure situations more and more consistently nowadays. Rackers certainly has the leg to do it.

If you're going to take away that W, in a game the Broncos absolutely dominated statistically, then I'm taking back the win in Chicago where the officials inability to recognize an obvious fumble cost the Broncos 10 points and a world of momentum.

I'm pretty sure you haven't watched the Broncos play.

The biggest thing to consider is probably injuries. Boldin's and Fitzgerald's injuries are both up in the air right now for this week. I wouldn't make the bet until after the Cards/Seahawks game to see if/how they're playing. If both are out or doubtful then I'd take a -3.5 line.

I would try and stay away from a -3.5 line in favor of the Saints though. I'd consider a -2.5 if he'd take it. The Cards have 5 games under 7 points this year so chances are a game between two relatively equal teams could easily come down to a late field goal.

Reggie Bush, injured PCL. Could change the odds a bit if he's out.

How does a fumble cost 10 points? And momentum is all speculation - the Broncos could easily have turned the ball over the next play. That's a hell of a lot different than a play that would've ended the game (in which dominating statistically means nothing).

I obviously didn't see that game seeing how the Cardinals were on at the same time. The Broncos are on pretty much every other week on CBS in Calgary so I've seen them play several times.

Because Hamzah Abdullah was half way to the end zone when they blew the play dead and called Grossman down by contact, which was promptly overturned by replay. The ball was coming out waaaaaaaay before Grossman hit the ground. It was brutally obvious. The Bears kicked a FG. 10 points.

If you've watched the Broncos I must ask you what about them makes you think they are on par with the Jets.

What exactly DOES mean something in your world? You discount everything thrown at you based on nothing.

I never said they were on par with the Jets.

I questioned how someone could logically say the Broncos were on a different level than the Cardinals.

I've very clearly stated there's a vast difference between a play that happens in what would've had to been in the 1st quarter (unless it was in OT, but based on what your tone clearly wasn't) than in the final minutes. If the Broncos score a TD there's still 3 quarters for the Bears to come back. If the Raiders kick the field goal it's game over.

The Broncos have a better chance of winning if that play stands...but it's still far from a guarantee.

Pretty sure it was in the 4th quarter. The Bears didn't kick a field goal, because Denver got the ball. But it should've been a Denver touchdown.

As for your unreasonable view on the Oakland FG timeout fiasco I would say this...if a coach isn't doing everything in his power, within the rules, to win a game he isn't doing a very good job. The Raiders were lucky to have an opportunity to win the game in the first place and certainly didn't deserve to win.

As for the Cardinals, I like them and agree they are a far cry from the Jets....not from the Broncos though....who, by the way since we're talking about missing players, have been without their starting (and probably HOF) Center, starting LG (and backup C), #1 WR and starting DE for the entire season (save 2 games of Javon Walker). The Cardinals aren't the only team in the NFL with injury issues.

Brandon Stokely has agreed to a 3 year extension with Denver.

As much as I wish I could see Stokes in that slot position with Harrison and Wayne on each side of him, I couldn't be happier for him and his new contract. Couldn't happen to a better guy, especially with everything he's been through with his son the last few years. He was all but retired this offseason, and kudos to the Broncos for convincing him to come back. Hopefully he stays as healthy as he has been this year, the guy was always a Bronco killer in the playoffs, maybe somewhere down the line he'll burn the Colts come playoff time. If Stokelys healthy, I'd take him over any slot receiver in the league. Will always be rembered in Indy especially for how he performed in Peytons big year and being the one to catch Peytons last touchdown that year

Storm clouds brewing in N'awlins as Reggie's "people" want him to shut it down for the season, while Saints management feel he's fine, and other players have played through similar injuries. Could be the beginning of the end for Reggie in N.O, as he has regressed this season, and drawn criticism from key teammates Drew Brees, and fullback Mike Karney. I think they should shut him down, and let Pierre Thomas see what he can do with the opportunity, he shone in TC, and has been great in spot duty.

Great defensive battle in Nashville. The Chargers can't get anything done and the Titans have a FG solely as the result of field position.

Young and Rivers have both left the game with injuries, though Young looks like he will return for sure. Rivers may as well.

Go Titans!

Really?? Im right in the midst of finals so I've pretty much stayed away from the Saints MB's the past few days. I knew Bush is possibly out for the year, but I haven't seen anything saying his people say he's done but Saints personnel think he's fine to play. If that's the case, things are really getting ugly down there. Do you have a link? I'd love to read this...

Eagles get absolutely jobbed by Ron Winter and the worst officiating crew in the NFL. Two absolutely brutal missed calls in the last two minutes and even worse missed holding calls in the first half. I don't even want to get started on the encroachment call that lead to the winning TD for the Giants. Mick McGeough could've called a better game.

Cowboys get a TD in the last 20 seconds to win 28-27 over the Lions and Chargers get a TD in the last 10 seconds to tie the Titans 17-17 (off to OT).

No surprise. Reffing's been brutal all year for all teams.

Paris Lenon just costs the Lions any chance they had at making the play-offs. (The refs didn't help either). Why can't professional players realise that if they are a defensive player handling the ball is not their job. Make the play and secure the football. All Lenon has to do is fall on the ball and the Lions win. Instead he tries to pick it up and run with it and kicks it to the Cowboys. Stupid, stupid play.

One was an 82 yard drive and one was a 80 yard drive.
Prevent defense at its best
