Moral Dilemma!
Situation:
My friend has a ticket for tonight Penguins/Flames game. His girlfriend has a work christmas party which they are supposed to be attending. If my friend pick the christmas party, the ticket goes to me!
Would it be wrong of me to phone up the girl and suggest to her that my friend going to the christmas party, would be a true symbol of his love and commitment to her????

If he's your buddy then you're screwing him over if he really wants to go to the game... guess it depends on how 'tongue-in-cheek' it would be, or if he'd be pissed.
If he found out and would be pissed, then I wouldn't do it.

Better yet. Tell your buddy that you told his g/f that. Then he has to very quickly call up his g/f to say he wants to go out with her.
He gets to be the good guy in her books, and you go to the game. win/win.

Work Xmas party on a THURSDAY NIGHT? I dunno, sounds like your friend isn't exactly heading out for an epic adventure if he's forced to go to that, I think you're better off not saying anything at all.

Well, if one of my buddies pulled that crap on me I'd be sure to find somebody else to give the hockey ticket to. Kids up Front would probably love it, and so would the scalpers or any of my other friends.

That said, if his gf did not at least say he can go to the game and pretend she would be fine with it, leaving the choice up to him, then I'd say he's probably better off with another gal anyways.
