You're right, the Pats would have had the ball on the 2 and it would have first and goal.
The TD play happened when it was first and 8, click the link and scroll to the bottom.

OK, I got lost on all the different 4th downs that occurred.
Personally, I thought it was a good catch. I didn't see a bobble, it looked like he was tucking the ball away. And I didn't see anything on the replay that would give enough to overturn the call on the field.
But that TD meant the Ravens had to come out throwing, and that allowed me a miraculous come-from-behind victory on the last play of the game to win an NFL Jersey in QB1.

Too bad to, because Baltimore was the better team all night.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think coordinators are allowed to call timeouts. If this was the case then that was another referee screw-up.

Technically, the black letter of the rule only allows for a player on the field or the head coach to call a timeout. However, coordinators often call timeouts because the ref doesnt know if the person yelling "timeout" is the head coach or the coordinator.
They covered it after the game on ESPN - tough luck for the Ravens.

They give one out every week, part of the promotion. Usually it is a player in the game, but they has already given out the Lewis jersey Week 1. I got a Chad Johnson home jersey. It is actually pretty nice.
I'm mainly glad I won because last year at this place I cleaned up (but last year it was just t-shirts, hats and so on), but a bunch more really good players came out this season and so this was my first win of the year. Its a lot of fun to see MNF with generally the same 10-15 people.

Thanks for the clarification!
They should go back to just players on the field being able to call timeouts. Or even reduce it to just the captains (usually QB and MLB).
Timeouts from the sidelines have just taken the flow out of the game and made the sport 'tacky'.

Travis Henry won his appeal and will not be suspended.
The NFL's statement says his lie detector test and hair sample test results were 'unconvincing' but have decided not to suspend him.
Talk about spin.

EDIT: Meanwhile, Smith's teammates can only laugh at him...
Despite Smith's abundant optimism, no other Steelers are designating Sunday as guaranteed win day. Linebacker James Farrior, cautioning that Smith hasn't been in the NFL long and may not realize what he is saying, doesn't think the Patriots will pay any attention.
"He better keep his mouth shut," Farrior said, though he was laughing and wasn't angry at his teammate. "Oh well, I guess we've got to go deal with that."
Keisel could only laugh after hearing Smith's comments, saying, "Maybe I should start (guaranteeing games)."
Will he begin doing that next week, when the Steelers play the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4)?
"Maybe the week after that," he said.

Better hope that's not how the Patriots react to it.
That team is a big threat to their perfection.

I almost hope that they lose a game, so they can re-focus on the real prize. It was a big relief for DEN to lose when they went to 13-0.

Besides Pat fans. The entire NFL fan base will be pulling for the Steelers. This is probably the only real threat the Patriots have remaining in their schedule. Get after Brady, two teams have proven that the Pats are not invincible.

Way to lump Arizona in with the terrible Jets.
Why no mention of the Broncos when the Cardinals are the better team?

It pains me to say it...but as a Colts fan I'll be cheering on the Pats next week. The first round bye is so important and really increases the chances of the Colts getting another shot at the Patriots. I won't watch the game because I'm afraid cheering for the Pats will result in me showing up to work the next day in a dirty sweatshirt and sweats, while refusing to smile or talk to any of my co-workers.
How many times have we heard these absolute morons decide to open there mouths a week before playing the Pats? The best team in the league coming off two games that there coach will treat like there 0-12 this week in practice, and you decide to give them even more motivation? There's a reason teams like the Steelers and Jaguars have players running there mouths before a big game, while all you hear from teams like the Patriots and Colts are cliche answers and praise for the other team.

Hell yeah. I'm predicting a decisive victory for the Patriots. Too many people questioning them combined with scares the last two weeks against teams they should beat handily. And on top of that, having to really try against Indy (rightfully so). Now with this "bulletin board material", plenty of reasons for the Pats to play like the Pats.
28-17 Pats.

Huge relief.
They lost the 15th game too to a bad Miami team. They REALLY got it out of their system that year.
