He got the TD congrats but lets not spend ten minutes yapping about Brady when he was basically stopped twice on that drive.
You gotta be good to be lucky.

They were just lucky ... Baltimore called a timeout to shoot themselves in the foot. No good there. Just lucky.

Me too...

Eh, I love the fact that Don Shula was at the game. Cranky old bugger. Can't wait to hear Rome tomorrow morning.

Pats dropped a lot of balls on Brady tonight, including two touchdowns.

Pats fans have to be concerned about the run defence.

There's just no consistency at all in the NFL concerning what is control of the ball vs. what isn't with respect to end zone receptions. The league really needs to review the rules of possession by next season.

Yup.

Even the pass protection for Brady has been suspect the last couple weeks. Brady's been getting crunched a lot more of late.

This new rule about being able to call timeouts at the sidelines has messed everyone up. Billick thinks he's a genius or something? You have Ray Lewis on the field as the field general he knows what's going on.

They stopped them on the next play too but it as a false start.

And the holding call... marginal but that's the nfl these days.. the reffing this week has been awful.

Finally I'm not sure that was a catch.. ball was bobbling in Gafney's hands.

Great game anyways. I'm not sure NE is that invincible anymore if they're life-and-death against the likes of philly and baltimore.

On the second start they stopped him BECAUSE of the false start, the guard was pulling and since he left early it created a seam for the DT, so it's tough to call that a 'stop' but yeah, Billick is an idiot for calling the TO. If I was on the defense for Baltimore I'd be so disappointed in my organization. They get zero help in and fact generally just get in the way of the D doing a good job.

But the Gafney catch was a catch ... not even close.

Marginal holding calls? - the NFL changed the rules because the Pats were roughing up the precious Colts too much.

If they ruled the winning TD not a TD, NE would have had the ball anyway on about the 1 yard line after all the penalties. Game over either way.

Invincible? No - but looks like they will be hosting the AFC title game. Teams with great defence and a great running back can give them trouble.

The penalties were because of the TD. Bart Scott would not have reacted that way if the Pats had not scored the TD.

And every other team. It's how they upset the Rams for their first ring.

That and because Warner's finger was broken and Martz decided that the Rams shouldn't play defense on the last drive at all.
