				 Question regarding Insufficient Postage

			Anyone works for Canada Post?
So I had a stack of stuff to mail out today but forgot to put a stamp on one of them, threw them all in the mail box on the street, will it come back to me? I did have a return address on it.

 Kinda felt like an idiot...

If the post office is nice or it comes across a nice handler, sometimes (especially during Christmas so I think you'd be fine) they will deliver it for you, especially if it's just one envelope. Otherwise yes it will come back to you but I do think it'll go through.

I agree with Redforever. Had that happen to me last year with a Christmas card I sent.

Mail does get lost from time to time though and it's happened to me, even with large parcels, good luck.

Next time you wanna cheap out and not pay the 50 cents, just put the destination as the return address and your own addresss as the "destination". Always wondered if that worked...

Not a bad idea but I would imagine the destination address would have to be close to where the letter was dropped off to work.

Actually it used to work, but it doesn't work now.

I forgot to put a stamp on a birthday card I sent last year. I called them and they said likely what would happen is they'd make the receiving address pay for the postage! So I haven't put postage on anything since, LOL! Just kidding! They actually didn't end up charging anyone for that one, haven't made that mistake again since then, though.

Yes, it does. But the person or company you're sending it to will likely have to pay the postage due. It's a great way to send bill payments to companies that are too cheap to provide a postage paid return envelope. Hopefully it teaches them a lesson.
