Voted! Seems to accept multiple votes, so I'll be going back to do more votes every so often.

Voted, really sad story I hope they win. I'm not a big fan of the vote as many times as possible, just doesn't seem fair.

I didn't vote mainly because I think they all should have a fair chance at the prize since they all deserve it. Online polls suck. Needless to say, I hope they win and probably will.

"fair chance"? What, roll the dice to see who wins?

There's a single mom in the contest too, maybe she has a need for the prize also. But really, since this is a windfall to whomever wins, wouldn't it be best that the one(s) most in need win? This is not random, its a popularity contest.

My only concern with the contest is, given the amount involved and that you can vote as often as you want, it makes sense for the contestants themselves to just sit there all day voting for themselves. Could lead to a bizarre number of votes and mean that only the most perseverant contestant, who didn't sleep, wins.

EDIT: Okay, I've read the profiles now, still, terminal illness presents a much greater need than anything else... some sad stories in a couple of those though.

I see unfortunately your friends Crystal/Anthony never won, however congrats to the winners. After reading their story, they are in the same situation as your friend is (Brad was diagnosed with colon cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy, and is no longer able to work). So i'm glad a family who really needed it as well won. Congrats to the winners. My thoughts go out to both families who are going through a lot at their lives at the moment.

Yeah, she didn't win but the prize did go to a deserving family.

Thanks again to everyone who voted!

Very unfortunate news that I heard through a friend today.

Crystal passed away today after her courageous bout with cancer. RIP Crystal. Your story was truly inspirational and you were a remarkable person.
