Try to download some new content and add it. No idea why it wont add. I have recently had some troublesome movies where when I tried to edit the meta data it would crash iTunes. That same file could not be re added after. this was in Leopard though.

Did you just copy over the library and xml files or did you let iTunes create new ones for you?

I downloaded the Pretender (surprise surprise) video, and it has all the same kinda info as the rest of them, which is making it even more frustrating.
Since I was going from Mac to PC what I did was take all of the folders on the Mac and burned them onto CDS and then uploaded them onto the PC. Uploaded them into iTunes from the folder they had and I had to move them to the iTunes folder in My Music myself. Then reloaded them from there. But that's the music.
The videos are sitting in their original folder on my desktop right now.

So the new video worked? I think that your library thinks the video files are already in your library.

So then if they aren't showing up in the library where would the file be moved to?

My work computer is a G5, and since I'm leaving my job soon I believe, I want to get everything personal over to my home computer

Sorry ... had a bit of dyslexia there.

So, hopefully Santa sticks an Apple under your tree.

Try this: (with caution)

Close iTunes

In your xp c:\docs and settings\name\my music\itunes
vista c:\users\NAME\music\iTunes

Move the xml and itl file to your desktop.

Open iTunes (it will be empty) and go to the File Menu > Add folder.

Choose the video folder on your desktop. See if it adds.

Do the same for your iTunes folder to add the music.

That should repopulate your library within iTunes.

Just so you know; it may have to re download album artwork so depending on how well your files are tagged or if you added artwork manually, this may not work very well.

Were they purchased videos? Is your home computer "authorized" to play them? (thinking aloud...)
